Detailed description is Buiding Blocks is a preschool learning experience for children 3-5 years-old. Each age group will work on what is developmentally appropriate. My name is Stacey Nelson. I am opening a preschool in Athens NY. I believe every child is born with a thirst for knowledge. Building Blocks will nurture and expand on each child's learning and individual needs. Not every child learns the same way or at the same pace. As their teacher I will be constructing activities using appropriate curriculum, placing my attention to both content and different strategies for learning. Learning will be assessed through observation, note-taking, and simple checklists using benchmarks for your child's age.Building Blocks provides a safe, happy, fun, inviting, and loving environment for children and their families. The classroom community will promote love, self-confidence and mutual respect for each other. Building Blocks will encourage cognitive development , problem solving, creativity, social/emotional growth, fine/gross motor learning. This will be accomplished through different modalities of learning. Using play, visual, auditory, tactile, and active participation. This will all be done making learning fun and engaging for your child. It can be done. Learning should be exciting and it will be at Building Blocks!. Building Blocks encourages families to be involved with our program. Free and open communication is key to a child's success in learning. Let us know about good and bad days at home, something exciting that has happened in your child's life, any concerns you have and any positive or negative feedback you might have for us.
