The Small School is known for its pupils growing, cooking, and serving their own lunches. Unlike other state schools, The Small School was founded in September 1982, and has a choice of afternoon options including: photography, yoga, pottery, woodwork. The Small School began with 8 children and has grown to as many as 35 (it has an organised capacity for 40 children), although the school currently only has 20 students enrolled.
