The hours of operation are Fridays 10am-6pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10am-4pm. Barn Festival in Hastings is always held the last two full weekends of May as well as September. With over 100 vendors, a good amount of product is hand-crafted in the USA, and even more specific, a majority made right here in Nebraska! We are more excited than ever about this upcoming Barn Festival. Thousands of items will be for sale including Home Decor, Yard Art, Kids Decor, Baby Items, Clothing, Handbags, Jewelry, Furniture Pieces, Nebraska Husker gear, Gourmet Food, Candles, Women's clothing and accessories, Holiday Decor, and the list goes on! . . Pop-Up Shops across the road are a BIG HIT with the customers! So much so, that we are expanding the vendor space with exciting product being offered by vendors across the nation. For the fourth year in a row we will include Wine-Tasting by a Nebraska Winery, Women’s Clothing, Flavored Coffee & Beer Bread Sampling as well as several jewelry vendors and a large International Gift and Dec Company!. . Another new venture at the Barn, Owner, Marla Anders is showcasing her art...Art by 'Marla Rae' which will be available as wall decor at the Festival, as well as on several licensed products including coasters, greeting cards and journals. ADDITIONAL BARN FESTIVAL FAQ. . The Barn Festival is a unique small business that we (Brian and Marla Anders) started over 20 years ago. In a nutshell, here are some things that may be helpful for you to know:. . 1. When you come to the Barn Festival, it is somewhat of a treasure hunt...you never know what you might find, or if you will ever find another one like it again...some things get replenished for the second weekend, but more than likely, they don’t. Our best advice to customers is, if you like it, you better grab it, instead of later on saying, “I should have bought it when I saw it!”. . 2. If you get home and wish you would have purchased something, we cannot help you. You will need to wait until the next Barn Festival to see if it shows up again.. . . 3. We also have the ‘Art by Marla Rae’ business, and will use our Barn Festival business to market this venture as well as any other business ventures that we or our family members decide to start that we think might benefit from sharing with our Barn Festival customers.. . 4. When you come out to the Barn, it may be a bit like stepping back in time. You are not going to be able to go to a register and have your items scanned quickly. If you come during the prime time, you will want to allow yourself extra time, knowing that there could be extra long lines at the registers. Usually early in the morning and after 3 in the afternoon you will not have lines to wait in.. . 5. You may have to park a ways out, and walk on the gravel road as well as uneven yard at times, so it might be smart to wear comfortable shoes. If there is a chance of rain, get out those rain boots, poncho, and that umbrella that you rarely get to use to add to your comfort as you shop. This is not a fashion show out here...dress for comfort and enjoyment!. . 6. Be prepared to use Porta-Potties...our septic tank will not allow us to have indoor restroom facilities.. . 7. Please do not try to go into the buildings with your baby strollers. You are welcome to use strollers outdoors, but not inside the buildings (whatever happened to umbrella strollers?? LOL). . 8. Due to this ‘day and age’ we live in, we have implemented STRICT SECURITY… both ‘undercover’ as well as posted on the grounds. You may be part of random bag checks at the exits. We also are asking our loyal customers to help us out in this area! If you see any 'suspicious' behavior, please report it immediately to a Security Person, or to the Barn Staff.. . 9.
