The course is a 115 mile-long out and back from Chino Valley, Arizona to Williams, Arizona and back through the upper Verde Watershed of the Prescott and Kaibab National Forests. There is approximately a 70/30 split between gravel and paved roads. Expect little to no motor vehicle traffic. Conditions of the gravel roads can vary from hard-pack, to rutted or washboard depending on the last time the roads were graded. Elevations along the course vary from 4000 ft to 7000 ft. At the lowest point of the course average high temps are in the mid 70's for this time of the year.. . 115 MILE COURSE:. . Start from Community Center Park, Chino Valley 1 mile east of Highway 89 on the corner of Perkinsville Road and Road 1. Continue on Perkinsville Road Yavapai County Road 70 for 30 miles.
