Joppa Lodge was organized on September 16, 1914 by members from Caddo Lodge #179 and Shreveport Lodge #115. It was chartered at the Grand Lodge Session on February 2, 1915. Orginally meeting at the Spring Street Masonic Hall - location of the current American Towers building in downtown Shreveport, Joppa moved to the Masonic Temple on Creswell Street upon completion of that building in 1922.
