Who would have imagined that "Lavin's Arena" would become a team roping landmark in Arizona. In it's heyday, Lavin's Arena was a well-known destination for weekend ropers. 'Grandma Susie', the matriarch of the family worked nearly every event as the official time keeper. The tradition of "Grandma Susie's" cooking and her open door policy made everyone who crossed the cattleguard feel at home...In fact, that alone was probably the best advertising/marketing tool there ever was.
