SMMS operates in two (2) communities and are currently pursuing expansion projects.. . Tuba City Operations. Sacred Mountain Medical Services, Inc. was founded in Tuba City, Arizona in 2002 and we are still currently servicing this community and hospital with paramedic (ALS) level service.. On the average, SMMS averages 1200 calls per year with one (1) ALS unit, half of those calls being 911 emergency response and the other half inter-facility transfers.. . Kayenta Operations. In 2007, SMMS was awarded a contract to provide inter-facility transfers for the Kayenta Health Clinic, a PHS Indian Health Services clinic. On the average, SMMS averages 1500 calls per year with two (2) ALS units and one (1) BLS unit.. . Because the KHC cannot admit patients, our inter-facility transports account for 75% of our total call volume with the remaining percentage of calls accounting for 911 responses.
