The goal of the band is to compose and cover songs in hope to bring and move our generation forward. We want to share our unique passion of music and take advantage of what we love to do to inspire and motivate other through music, singing with a purpose and being a voice of support for our young rising Hmong generations. . . We all started out as individual young talents around the local areas of northern California and came together through a common idea; the idea of inspiring and motivating other through music. Most of the members from Txhawb Zog came together in the summer of 2012 to perform for the General Vang Pao Monument project in Chico. Soon after, a few of us came together and formed a band to compete in the show case artist competition for the Hmong National Development conference during 2013 in Fresno, California. Placing third for the 2013 HND conference, there we had our first performance, performing our first single “Tsis Txhob Tog”. . . From 2013 to 2015, we were restricted to travelling afar to perform because most of us were still in college. During those three years we mainly did live performance at local events in northern California and sometimes at Hmong New Years. Just recently due to opportunities and more time on our hand again, we decided to come back together and make more music.. . Some of our future plan is to create more originals to inspire and motivate, continue to perform at the events that we are able to attend, and to create a free Open Mic event in the Sacramento area in the near future..
