It was established in 1892.
It is a part of the Fremont Unified School District.DemographicsThe demographic breakdown of the 1,904 students enrolled for the 2012–2013 school year was: Male – 51.5%Female – 48.5%Native American/Alaskan – 0.4%Asian/Pacific islanders – 37.4%Black – 6.0%Hispanic – 22.3%White – 29.9%Multiracial – 4.0% In addition, 24.6% of the students were eligible for free or reduced lunch.Extracurricular activitiesAthleticsWashington High School has fourteen sports teams that each compete in the Mission Valley Athletic League .
