The steers are raised on pasture and hay fed for about 13 months, then grain finished for about 6 months. They are all calves that we have raised from our own breeding stock - we know their history.. . Natural, grass fed & grain finished beef is tender and better tasting, more affordable and still healthier than processed beef. It will maintain the marbling which keeps it tender and juicy for those that prefer it.. . The grain is 12%protein, 3% fat. It consists of corn, wheat, barley & Oats.. . A finished steer is bout 16-18 months old and on the hoof will weigh aprox 1,100 - 1,250 lbs.. . The steers are butchered with humanitarian methods only by professional, custom local butcher. .
