A 'feminist retelling' of George Orwell's 1984 book is in the works

2024 marks the 75th anniversary of Orwell’s dystopian novel, and Sandra Newman hopes to reconsider the Big Brother themes by writing a new sequel that considers the story of Winston from the character Julia’s perspective.
