Accused Long Island serial killer Rex Heuermann was nicknamed Peter Griffin from Family Guy by colleagues who described him as 'goofy' and 'really friendly and really nice' - but 'meticulous' in navigating NYC's complex zoning codes

Heuermann (left) was arrested outside of his office in Manhattan, with colleagues being left 'shocked' by the sudden break in the cold case after nearly two decades.
