HOUSTON (AP) _ Adams Resources & Energy Inc. (AE) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $2.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Houston-based company said it had net income of 66 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 61 cents per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $325.5 million in the period.
Adams Resources shares have risen 9% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $26.31, a decline of 9% in the last 12 months.
