In2ScienceUK has been awarded a £96,745 grant from the Cadent Foundation
Applications have opened for a new initiative that helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to explore careers in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) sector.
In2ScienceUK, a social mobility charity that focuses on offering practical insight into STEM jobs, has been awarded a £96,745 grant from the Cadent Foundation.
The money is being used to launch a Cadent Foundation Scholar programme that will see 160 young people from deprived areas across the North West given a much-needed boost in breaking into the sector.
The three-step programme includes mentorship and placements with top STEM professionals at top-class universities, and an online research module with interactive activities and lectures to give an insight into engineering research.
