Edward Patrick Carlin

Edward Patrick Carlin, 84, of Avoca, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
After years of suffering, God came to Ed on July 14, 2021, and said to him, “Throw away that walker and come walk with me.”
Born in the Pittston Junction, May 29, 1937, and raised in West Avoca, he was the son of the late Michael and Ann Mallarky Carlin.
Ed was a member of Queen of The Apostles Church, Avoca. He graduated from Avoca High School in 1957, and served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1961, then worked at Swanee Paper (Plainwell) in Ransom, retiring in 1999 after 36 years of employment.
