Glenna Ruth Brantley Isham, of New Braunfels, formerly of Seguin, died December 9, 2020, at the age of 95 after a long battle with Alzheimerâs disease. Born in Luling, Texas, February 5, 1925, she was the fourth of six children of Vera Spellman Brantley Abbey and Roy Brantley.
Her formative years were spent in small towns in Central Texas, before moving to San Antonio, where she graduated from Harlandale High School. She was known for her lovely soprano voice and her leading roles in drama. These interests continued in college at Southwest Texas State Teacherâs College (now Texas State University), where she was honored as a Gaillardian.
