Officials with the National Weather Service office in Amarillo stated that updates to the blizzard warnings are coming soon, "as the western Panhandles are clearing out and winds are dropping so blizzard conditions have ended. Still some eastern Counties that are dealing with high winds and blizzard conditions," according to a tweet from the organization's account.

According to the National Weather Service, the Oklahoma Panhandle and the northwestern two thirds of the Texas Panhandle are under a Blizzard Warning until 7 p.m. this evening, causing "snow accumulations between two to five inches (and) winds gusting as high as 60 mph."
