CLEMSON, S.C. — Jacob Bridgeman had his fourth straight top-four finish in leading Clemson to a tie for sixth-place with eighth-ranked Georgia at the Calusa Cup at Calusa Pines Golf Course in Naples, Florida. It was the final regular season tournament for the Tigers, who will next compete in the ACC Championship, April 22-25 in Panama City, Fla.The nine-team field featured seven top 25 teams, including three in the top 10.   Clemson finished with an 888 total for the 54 holes, 24-over-par. Georgia Tech won the tournament with an 856 total, followed by Florida at 864. Wake Forest was third at 868 and Oklahoma, the unanimous #1 team in the nation entering the tournament, finished fourth at 881. Purdue was fifth at 882.Bridgeman struggled to a 75 on Tuesday after rounds of 68 and 71 to open the tournament. It was his fourth straight top four finish, the first Clemson golfer to record four straight finishes in the top four since Turk Pettit did it in the first four Spring tournaments in 2018.Bridgeman finished the tournament with eight birdies and two eagles.  He was the only player in the field to record two eagles. The senior from Inman, SC now has 14 career eagles, tied for third in Clemson history with current PGA Tour player Lucas Glover.Fred Biondi of Florida, the number-three ranked player in the nation by Golfstat, and Bartley Forrester of Georgia Tech were co-medalists at 211 for the 54 holes, three shots better than Bridgeman. The field included 14 of the top 100 players in the nation.Colby Patton was Clemson’s second best player for the tournament with a 13th place finish after rounds of 74-71-74. Patton led the Clemson team in birdies for the week with 10. It was Patton’s third top 13 finish in his last four appearances.Kian Rose was Clemson’s top golfer on Tuesday with a one-over-par 73. He had a double bogey six on the 17th hole, or he would have shot under-par for the day.  Still, he finished 25th overall for the tournament, his first top 25 since February at the Nexus Collegiate, but his third of the year.
