Stacking the deck for sustainability

The ASU-led team that built NASA’s Lunar Polar Hydrogen Mapper, or “LunaH-Map” for short, has safely delivered their spacecraft to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida in preparation for a launch expected later this year on NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) Artemis I rocket.
LunaH-Map is a fully functional interplanetary spacecraft about the size of a large cereal box and weighing about 30 pounds. It is the first mission to be led, designed, assembled, integrated, tested and delivered from the ASU Tempe campus. Its destination is in orbit around the moon, from which it will map water-ice in permanently shadowed regions of the lunar south pole.

.- To most, he was the man called Stretch, a nickname acquired in 1955 during New York Giants spring training in Florida. In April 1957, shortly before the first baseman’s Texas League debut as a Dallas Eagle, sportswriter editor Bill Rives explained the moniker: “The other players took one look at his elastic frame and tagged him Stretch.” And so it was until Willie McCovey’s death in October 2018.
Beloved, revered Stretch, the man who, so the joke went, could grab the ball at second base all the way from first.

Medical freedom is not explicitly mentioned in the Bill of Rights for a very simple reason. The founding fathers never envisioned a world in which medical procedures would be forced on a free people. This oversight has been corrected for the most part by laws at the state and national level protecting an American citizen’s right to choose how they will handle their own healthcare.
Patients’ rights have been attacked more and more in recent years, but never has there been a more draconian onslaught than what we’re seeing with the so-called “Covid vaccines.” Government, private businesses, and organizations are pressing mandates of various degrees of severity onto the American people with limited methods through which a vaccine-hesitant person can seek exemptions to operate as normally as possible in society.

In some sports, Olympic gold medalists returning to deck as coaches and coaching to the top of their sport is common. Almost all of the world’s top water polo teams are coached by Olympic medalists, and many by gold medalists, for example.
Swimming, by example, has a very mixed bag. There are plenty of coaches with big competitive credentials walking around on deck.

© Getty Images A Florida county school board voted on Wednesday to require students, staff and visitors to wear masks inside its schools, directly conflicting with Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R) stance that schools should not impose mask mandates.
The School Board of Broward County held a special meeting on Wednesday where members voted to require indoor masking inside schools, social distancing protocol inside classrooms and seating capacity limits on school buses that would be implemented at the beginning of the school year, which starts next month.
According to WLRN, the move was made due to school board members' concerns over a rising number of COVID-19 cases in South Florida

Georgia Football Target Elijah Pritchett Named No. 1 Tackle - Sports Illustrated Georgia Bulldogs News, Analysis and More

Jul 30, 2021
SI All-American has been releasing their top players by position for several weeks now. Georgia target Elijah Pritchett was named the No. 1 tackle in the nation by the recruiting service.
Prichett is one of the most critical players on the board for Georgia. They don't have any offensive lineman in the 2022 class at the moment, and Prichett would be a massive addition.
At the moment, it seems as like his recruitment will come down to Georgia, Alabama, USC, and Florida State. The nation's top tackle hails from Columbus, Georgia, where he attends Carver High School.
The Crimson Tide  and USC appear to be in the lead here, but a promising sign is that many expected Pritchett to commit before the end of summer. He has been on campus in Athens and liked what he saw from the Bulldog staff.

In this photo taken by Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky and provided by Roscosmos Space Agency Press Service, the Nauka module is seen prior to docking with the International Space Station on Thursday, July 29, 2021. A newly arrived Russian science lab briefly knocked the International Space Station out of position Thursday when it accidentally fired its thrusters.
For 47 minutes, the space station lost control of its orientation when the firing occurred a few hours after docking, pushing the orbiting complex from its normal configuration. The station's position is key for getting power from solar panels and or communications. Communications with ground controllers also blipped out twice for a few minutes.
