Human error blamed

Habs win, but lose Gallagher
It was a surprising come-from-behind win for the Canadiens — but it might have come with a heavy price. Veteran centre Eric Staal, playing his first game for Montreal following his recent trade from Buffalo, scored at 4:02 of overtime, providing Montreal with a 3-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers Monday night at the Bell Centre. But the win was tempered, as Montreal lost spark-plug winger Brendan Gallagher with an injury to his right hand in the first period after he was struck by a shot from defenceman Alexander Romanov.
