First responders in Eddy County received needed safety equipment to help with emergency situations from a pair of Permian Basin organizations.
The Permian Basin Strategic Partnership (PSP) and Permian Safety Road Coalition (PRSC) announced a $1.1 million donation of equipment to first responders in 22 counties across West Texas and southeast New Mexico, read a PSP news release.
Both organizations participated in a kick-off event and equipment demonstration May 26 in Midland, Texas, said Tracee Bentley, PSP chief executive officer and president.
“This $1.1 million commitment is a continuation of a partnership with PRSC that began in early 2020. We know there is a need for increased and improved equipment, and this initiative is our chance to answer the call from our first responders,” she said.
