Renewables supply more than half of the electricity consumed for the first time. In June, electricity generation from sunlight reached a new all-time record of 9.8 billion kilowatt hours. In October 2023, only 60.4 gigawatts of onshore wind power capacity were reached, of which 2.9 gigawatts were added this year.
