What's Florida without palm trees? Might have to get used to it, someday, at least, not because they're dying off but because some cities are looking to replace them with other trees better suited to fighting climate change. Turns out palm trees don't pull carbon out of the atmosphere at nearly the same rate as other trees. Don't expect them to rip down the palms, not yet, at least, but that's the reasoning for planting other tree over palms. (WFOR-TV/Miami)
