Corruption in bed allocation is unpardonable at any time, particularly in a pandemic that has become India’s catastrophe. An MP and MLA are duty-bound to expose such corruption. And it is right that they held a press conference about this. But as the viral video of BJP elected representatives accosting the BBMP officials in public reveals, Surya is seen wielding a sheaf of papers from which he reads out names of employees of a private company which BBMP drafted to back their efforts to tackle covid. Sixteen names are read out and they are all Muslim. The company has 205 employees in the Covid War Room and almost all of the Muslims are called out.
