Fatal Big Rig Crash Closes I-24

(MURFREESBORO) Shortly after 4:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon (6/3/2021) a fatal crash occurred in the westbound lane of I-24 (toward Nashville), between South Church Street and the New Salem Highway. A 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer rig driven by 50 year old Brian Barcorft of Bush Creek, Tennessee ran off the side of the interstate, striking an overhead sign and utility pole.
