I think that what i have noticed from some house members is a switch in their messaging surrounding the Government Shutdown. I saw leader stepy hoyer on one of the programs earlier today. And all of a sudden its not about daca, but about the fact this is a spending bill that doesnt do way its supposed to do. Chip was suppose to be reauthorized in september. It doesnt have anything to do with Hurricane Relief and it doesnt provide money for community centers. This continuing resolution is not up to snuff and they are sick and tired of doing crs because its no way to govern. The public felt that the republicans were to blame for that shutdown. And in that midterm, democrats lost seats in the house and they lost control is dangerous. Even if the republicans get blame, it doesnt mean its going to hurt them politically. And the other thing that the republicans have been smart about doing is naming this the schumer shutdown.
