About 98 per cent of the Federal Government’s various data that were hitherto hosted offshore have been repatriated to Nigeria, the National Information Technology Development Agency said on Friday.
Director-General, NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, said the data repatriation to Nigeria was part of the agency’s efforts at localising government’s data.
He disclosed this at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy while briefing the ministry’s new Permanent Secretary, Festus Daudu, on activities of NITDA.
On indigenous content promotion, Inuwa was quoted in a statement issued in Abuja by the spokesperson of the agency, Hadiza Umar, as saying, “NITDA has issued a total number 297 compliance notice.
