Five students honored as April Students of the Month with Cheboygan Area High School

CHEBOYGAN — At the May 24 Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education meeting, school board members recognized five students in eighth through 12th grade for being named April Student of the Month.
"If you've ever been here before, you know that this is my favorite time of the board meeting," said board president Marianne Ridings. "That is honoring our students of the month and their families."
These awards were presented by teacher Haley Dawley, who coordinates the student of the month program at Cheboygan Area High School on behalf of the school district's academic boosters. The eighth grade student of the month was Hayden Laudenslager, who was nominated for the award by teacher Sara Vizina.
