Flint Community Schools to pause face-to-face learning indefinitely next week

FLINT, MI -- Flint Community Schools is pausing face-to-face learning and athletics for an indefinite period of time starting Monday, April 12, the district has announced.
The announcement issued Tuesday, April 6 by the district and Flint Board of Education Secretary Danielle Green notes a date for returning face-to-face learning has not been determined.
“At Flint Community Schools, the safety and well-being of our scholars and staff is a primary concern,” Assistant Superintendent Kevelin Jones said in a news release. “... Flint Community Schools will pause in-person learning and all athletics programs starting Monday, April 12, 2021 until further notice.
