Four men affiliated with the anti-government “boogaloo” group have been indicted on obstruction charges stemming from the death and attempted killing of federal law enforcement officers in California last year.
Jessie Alexander Rush, 29; Robert Jesus Blancas, 33; Simon Sage Ybarra, 23; and Kenny Matthew Miksch, 21 are allegedly part of the “Grizzly Scouts,” a subgroup linked to the extremist movement. They were indicted on Friday for destroying messages on WhatsApp and other evidence authorities have said was tied to the killing of Federal Protective Services Officer Dave Patrick Underwood in May last year and the killing of Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller a week later.
