Well, we already know that in the Oversight Committee a few weeks ago you have the irs whistleblowers who testified in open hearing that through their investigation they tracked down 17. 3 million. You take a look at what the Oversight Committee, i think right now were somewhere upwards of 30 million if not more. Maria so first off, are you expecting an indictment in the coming two or three weeks from georgia . Yes, i think that its been highly spoken about. I think if you look at the barricades, the fact that shes got her pr team doing fresh pictures for her, its a good indicator that fannie wants her moment, and she will get on the bandwagon with the rest of the corrupt d. A. And a. G. S that weve seen out of this country. Maria what is President Trumps response to all of this . I think what he said outside the last January 6th Arraignment was perfect. It says it all. Maria alina, let me get your take on the money being spent here on legal fees. Did you hear what congressman bye. Ron donalds just said . He said that he believes the strategy of the department of justice is to bleed trump dry. To bring so much legal issue and problems to trump that he has to spend all of his money on legal fees. You are the general counsel of his super pac. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Political Committee as has spent more than 40 million this year on legal fees as he and a constellation of advisers have been swept into these various investigations. How much has it been and and how are you directing the money in terms of paying for legal fees . Tens and tens of millions of dollars, and i do think that that is part of the strategy. It is incredible. They have brought in people like myself who have nothing to do with these cases. I was not part of the administration. So that lawyers are to get lawyers. And these lawyers cost money. And when you take a broad net and you try and intimidate anybody who is part of his circle whether i couldnt even say inner circle, maria, its gone further than that, you know . The valet at maralago, the chefs, the whatever, its crazy. And it is on purpose. Nothing they do is not intentional. Its calculated. And it is to make him bleed. The problem is that President Trump is independently wealthy as well, and they forget that. And he has said adderalllys i will do at rallies, i will do whatever it takes. If i have are to spend my own money, i will. He is very protective is and kind and generous, and at the end of the day, theyre going to try to take him down financially, and thats just, frankly, not a good angle. I dont know if they have seen his wealth, but its not the best angle to go at. Maria typically when you have a case as complicated as the one were talking about, there is deposition, there is discovery, a whole Discovery Process where trumps lawyers will have to get access to the other sides information and vice versa. How long do you expect that process to take . Jack smith says he wants a speedy trial. We are about a year away from an election. Obviously,ing were just two weeks away from the first gop primary debate, two months away from the iowa caucuses. Are you going are you expecting to have a trial before election 2024 . I think that thats their goal. I think that realistically you have to remember that a lot of these cases deal with classified documents and classified records which mean that all the lawyers now have to apply for special clearance, right . So its not a normal situation. You cant just take a classified document and review it. You have to have scifs, you have to have certain procedures put in place. So while i appreciate jack smith trying to have a speedy trial the, perhaps he should have taken a case that didnt involve classified documents that he now possesses that we have to repossess and review for discovery. Its a poorly planned attack, frankly, because thats what it is, its political warfare. And he didnt think it through. So i think these are going to take a lot longer. I think once the judges get a breadth for how many years theyve had this discovery, look at fannie, two years. Shes bringing this case now . Why . Because of Election Interference. Well, and let me just add, maria, by the way, the reason were at this point today exposing what went on with the bidens is because you, unlike the majority of your colleagues, actually pushed this story since 2018. Thats important for your with audience to know. But i think that devon archers testimony was absolutely devastating. I was concerned going in. Keep in mind that his lawyer works at boys shiller which is where hunter biden was a lawyer from 2009 to 2014. That firm has a Long Association with the bidens and the democratic party, but it did not dissuade his testimony. And i thought devon archer was measured and focused and key because having studied this since 2016, he is really the guy with the business acumen. Of all the people that are sort of revolving around hunter biden with these various entities that were set up, devon archer was the adult in the room in terms of how this business should be structured. And he confirmed everything that everybody assumed the worst of which is that joe biden was the product that this firm was selling. And he unequivocally said any, you know, people discussing or claiming that he was not involved with his sons business is totally and completely incorrect. I would add add the next shoe that may drop is theres another individual involved with hunter biden in Eric Schwerin. If devon archer was the sort of business die guy, the deal guy, Eric Schwerin was the guy who moved money around. And based on Hunter Biden Laptop, he had access not only to Hunter Bidens accounts, but also joe bidens accounts. So when he testifies before the committee, its going to be interesting to see what he says and what pressure he might be under from this administration. Maria so i suspect when Eric Schwerin testifies and we get more information into this, The Next Day Trump will get another indictment. I am expecting that. [laughter] i mean, its actually not funny. But, peter, you told us the last time you were with us about a cell phone that joe biden was using as Vice President. This is not a government phone, this was a phone that you said hunter biden was paying for. Talk to us about that phone and what that phone might inform. Yeah. So this is a cell phone that on the Hunter Biden Laptop hunter biden actually, in 2017, complains to his dad that he doesnt want to pay his dads bills anymore including this cell phone. So he basically says, dad, you need to start paying for your own cell phone. When owe you look at the billing on the laptop, this cell phone that hunter biden sorry, that joe biden carried as Vice President of the United States was actually paid for by rosemont, the archerhunter biden business. So this is not a personal phone, its not a government phone, and its pretty clear this is the phone of contact when hunter was with his Business Partners and was calling his dad or when one of the other Business Associates, Eric Schwerin, is calling joe biden, hes using this phone number. We shared that phone number with the house Oversight Committee, congressman comers committee. I dont know if theyve subpoenaed it yet, but this could be the lock sorry, the pick that unlocks everything. Because if there were, in fact, phone calls with zlochevsky, the head of burisma, the involvement with the Bribe Allegation or other foreign nationals, they would be calling joe biden on that phone. And i think its very important for the American People to know who on the back channel was actually talking to the Vice President of the United States and if doing business with his son. Maria yeah. And i spoke to john solomon, the Investigative Reporter from just the news, and he told me he called the cell phone, and joe biden picked up. And he said, hello, mr. President some and he knew that it was joe biden. So he still has the phone. Yeah. That could very well be, absolutely. And its clear that this is his phone, this is a private phone. He picks it up, and this is the key. If you look at whats happened with the biden narrative, it is completely it has completely collapsed. Another person said to be present at those meetings was an individual that works for president zelenskyy of ukraine. That means, certainly, that if that conversation took place, i would imagine president zelenskyy knows of the claims that burisma bribed joe biden. Maria before i get into the possibility of a trial being moved, i want to get your take as an attorney Attorney General looking at this case. How long does a Case Tipically take when typically take when youre talking about each side getting a fair shake in terms of depositions, in terms of the Discovery Process, insuring that trumps lawyers get access to all that they need to get if they need to get classified and see it in a scif, whatever . How long would that take, and do you believe that could happen before the next president ial election . No. I think once again basic fairness would suggest that all of this should be delayed to after the 2024 elections. Were already running up against the primaries that are coming next year, and thats going to pollute the primary electoral process x. If that is yet another argument as to why this process has become so political. So i think this should be delay. T its going to take a considerable amount of time to engage in that sharing of information and to allow the defendant to be properly prepared for trial. Maria okay. Next question. What is the likelihood that a trial can be moved . Youre calling for it to be move to west virginia. Is there any precedent that you can tell us about where a case was moved because of worries that it wasnt going to be fair . Well, maria, i would say that one of the fundamentals of due process in our criminal Justice System is to be able to have a fair trial and and a fair tribunal. And does anyone watching, does anyone in america believe that President Trump is going to get a fair shake out of washington, d. C. . I think most people would say, whether youre protrump or antitrump, youre not going to get that fair shake. So what im is suggesting is that this should be moved to west virginia. We have a number of Federal District courthouses that could properly house this. I think that that he could get a fair hearing, and i think that theres no reason why the prosecutor shouldnt support this move because, maria, the biggest thing that a prosecutor should be focusing on isnt just trying to get guilt from the person hes targeting, it should be to administer justice. Thats the duty of a prosecutor. I think if you move it to west virginia, you would actually take away a lot of the political concerns that are out there. So i think its a strong idea, i think the prosecutor should think very carefully about this and get behind it. Maria all right. Is there any possess dent that a trial would precedent that a trial would get moved, as you suggest . Is. Yes, there is precedent. I actually think this is potentially very likely, and heres why i say this. Yes, its true that you normally focus on the district where the alleged crimes are occurring. However, there is a lot of precedent where counts have stepped in courts have stepped in and said lets give the defendant a fair shake. You can look at the Oklahoma City bombings back in 1995, you look at o. J. Simpson, you look at rodney king. You can look at big cases going back to england where people know that when you have so Much Negative publicity, and clearly the fake news has been going after trump so much, that the guy cant get a fair trial. Everyone knows that here. Lets have a winwin. For the prosecutor, this is a win because it could remove a little bit of the stain that this is just a pure political prosecution. And, obviously, for President Trump its affording him that fairness that that he deserves, that every american deserves from our criminal Justice System. Maria well, obviously, those are very different cases. But i want to get your take on this, the fairness. How would you assess Merrick Garland in terms of his role in fairness . Look, i think Merrick Garland, thank god hes not on the u. S. Supreme court, but he has been a disaster because he, of all people, employs a double standard the in terms of enforcing the rule of law. Im looking at everything that hunter biden is doing and then im looking how theyre targeting President Trump, and there is not one standard of justice. You dont need a double standard. I think that this guy has been derelict in his duties. Hes been horrible with respect to border issues, hes been harassing of a lot of people in various communities. I think hes handled this very, very badly, and hes been really just a tool to go after his political opponent in the election. Maria thats a very sad situation, state of affairs.
