The midlands and wales. This is gb news across the uk on tv in your car, on Digital Radio and on your Smart Speaker by saying play on your Smart Speaker by saying play gb news now its back over to. Patrick well , we start with to. Patrick well, we start with the bibby stockholm barge because we have an ongoing breaking story to bring you. More than two months after legionella bacteria was found in the water supply. Asylum seekers have started to return in. Migrants have been seen moving their suitcases back onto the dorset barge after supplies of food and other essentials were delivered on tuesday. That was despite the best efforts of our old friends at Just Stop Oil. Bizarrely they tried to hold up the bus carrying the migrants. The bus carrying the migrants. They blocked the bus there. As you can see, the bus had at some point tried to nudge itself fonnard, which they then thought was a threat to kill them. Yeah. Lets now portland and lets cross now to portland and speak to gb news, south west of england. Reporter jeff moody. England. Reporter jeff moody. Jeff, an eventful day for you then, so just stop. Oil got involved. They tried to block involved. They tried to block the bibby barge. The bibby barge. Absolutely. Well we never saw that coming. That coming. Oh, theyve tried to block jeff as well. Its an absolute disgrace. When will Just Stop Oil end this lot. Theyre getting your back, jeff. We will not be defeated. Carry on. Are. Are. Are. Can you hear me now . Yes very much so. Yes. Well, they never saw that coming, did they . I mean, we knew that they were going to be protests at the port. The Asylum Seekers were well prepared because well prepared for that because theyd been here, of course, back august when theyd seen back in august when theyd seen them the first time round. So we knew they were to going be demonstrations. What they didnt realise there were demonstrations. What they didnt realis to there were demonstrations. What they didnt realis to be there were demonstrations. What they didnt realis to be demonstrations as going to be demonstrations as they to the isle they were getting on to the isle of itself, the beach of portland itself, the beach road that goes from weymouth and the mainland through the mainland up through into portland. It was while portland itself. It was while they were crossing that that, that road that suddenly Just Stop Oil turned up out of nowhere and brought the bus to a standstill. Didnt hold it for very long though. We know that because the bus did arrive. They did go on board as as planned. So yes, two months later than planned. They are now making themselves comfortable and looking out the window at the wonderful view because its very, very, very sunny down here, protesters said. We know that our governments plan for new oil and gas is going to lead to more people being displaced from their homes, forced from where theyve lived for generations due to the actions of our failing politicians, people coming to the uk must be met with common humanity and not housed in pnson humanity and not housed in prison ships. I mean, forgive me, but im not that convinced that those people whove just come across the channel will entirely understand why a lot of people in bright orange have just in front their bus. Just sat in front of their bus. But its something i but you know, its something i suppose , that said that some of suppose, that said that some of them have now made onto the them have now made it onto the barge. This right . They have barge. Is this right . They have indeed. Two months after they were taken off the barge, as you know, in august, they arrived on the barge and then four days later, they were taken off because of this outbreak of legionnaires disease on board. Were told that within several days the legionella the problem with legionella was solved and the water was is now a clean supply of water. Its totally potable. So that problem went away very quickly. There was another legal dispute that kept things for going a few weeks. That was the mayor of portland herself, caroline parks , who herself, caroline parks, who went to the high court with all sorts of planning applications that she said had been filled out wrong. All sorts of issues that she said arrived and but the high court werent having any of it. They kicked her out of court fairly swiftly and said , 0, of court fairly swiftly and said , no, its going to happen and its going to happen today. So today is the day that the government, the home office in particular, been waiting for particular, has been waiting for a long time now. Theyre on a very long time now. Theyre on board. Theres only one coach on board. Theres only one coach on board at the moment. Were not sure were that coach sure how many were on that coach because the windows were blacked out. We know there are out. But we know that there are more there should be more coming. There should be another tomorrow another coach. We think tomorrow and monday too. And another one on monday too. So surely the bibby so slowly but surely the bibby stockholm now in action stockholm barge is now in action and it is filling up fast. Well, there we go. Look, jeff, thank you very, very much. For the latest on unusual twist to the bibby barge saga , which to the bibby barge saga, which is Just Stop Oil got is that Just Stop Oil got involved and tried block it. Involved and tried to block it. Its an interesting time its been an interesting time for stop oil, actually, for Just Stop Oil, actually, because other reports because ive got other reports here met police here about the met police arrested. Stop oil arrested. Just stop oil co founders roger hallam and indigo rumbelow. And dawn raids indigo rumbelow. And dawn raids after eco zealots announced three more weeks of slow marches across london. So the met police launched some kind of pre emptive strike on this, which as much as i get annoyed by, Just Stop Oil. And i dare by, Just Stop Oil. And i dare say that a lot of people do as well. The idea of a pre emptive strike by police i think does seem a little bit egregious. Is that the start of a slippery slope . You know, we had the slope . You know, when we had the coronation there was coronation and there was republicans theyre not republicans there, theyre not my king lot with the big yellow banners nicked. Banners and they were nicked. And up with like and then that ended up with like no an apology and no charges and an apology and people saying that was, you know, live in a fascist know, we live in a fascist police state, which was bit police state, which was a bit much. I was like, think much. I was like, well, i think this thing. I didnt this is a good thing. I didnt want coronation disrupted. Want the coronation disrupted. And glad that it and i am still glad that it wasnt disrupted. But do you not really have to wait for Just Stop Oil to do something again before them . Before you can arrest them . Maybe not. I suppose the maybe not. I suppose if the police got Police Believe that theyve got proper evidence for it, you know, intelligence led pre emptive it is pre emptive action. But if it is just going to nick them just were going to nick them and get out of the just and get them out of the way just in im sure i want to in case. Im not sure i want to live in that country because it could any of us, could happen to any of us, couldnt it . But yes, this is the latest. Just stop oil have plonked in of plonked themselves in front of a migrant bus on its way to the bibby barge. I feel desperately sorry for whoever that coach driver is. Okay. Theyve already told go told him, look, youve got to go told him, look, youve got to go to this Asylum Seeker to this. This Asylum Seeker hotel. Youve got to pick these people who dont want go people up who dont want to go onto this barge, get on the barge. Probably barge. Theres probably run a gauntlet of goodness knows what at on at that hotel. And then on the way there, the Just Stop Oil numpties and plonk numpties come and plonk themselves of bus. Themselves in front of his bus. And hes got to deal that. Themselves in front of his bus. And he s got to deal that. Themselves in front of his bus. And he justt to deal that. Themselves in front of his bus. And he just think, al that. Themselves in front of his bus. And he just think, good that. Themselves in front of his bus. And he just think, good grief, . And he just think, good grief, you know, his life come you know, whats his life come to . But moving matters more to . But moving on matters more serious the israel hamas serious now to the israel hamas war. Rishi sunak met israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu began his netanyahu today as he began his diplomatic the diplomatic visit across the middle united diplomatic visit across the middletold united diplomatic visit across the middletold its united diplomatic visit across the middletold its citizensi diplomatic visit across the middletold its citizens to states told all its citizens to leave lebanon, sunak emphasised states told all its citizens to leaviit ebanon, sunak emphasised states told all its citizens to leaviit was non, sunak emphasised states told all its citizens to leaviit was important. Emphasised states told all its citizens to leaviit was important that hasised states told all its citizens to leaviit was important that the ised that it was important that the conflict between israel and hamas didnt escalate to the wider region. Wider middle east region. Perpetrated an hamas has perpetrated an absolutely barbaric act of terrorism. People terrorism. Im sure many people will seen seen seen the will have seen seen seen the videos. They are horrific. They videos. They are horrific. They chill you. They certainly have done that to me. And everyone can represent pure can see that they represent pure evil and its right that israel exercises its right to self defence. It has not just the right to protect its citizens, the duty to protect its citizens and that something and ensure that Something Like this happen again. This can never happen again. Its the conflict its important that the conflict doesnt escalate regionally. Thats to talking as thats why im to talking as many people as i across the many people as i can across the region. Already done that region. Ive already done that and able to see more and ill be able to see more people person on this trip. People in person on this trip. No one wants to see this conflict escalate indeed conflict escalate and indeed the uk sent various military uk has sent various military assets into the mediterranean to prevent regional escalation. So some of surveillance some of our surveillance aircraft, for example, are ensuring arms shipments ensuring that arms shipments dont their way to people dont find their way to people like hezbollah. Well that was like hezbollah. Well that was the Prime Minister there and he is travelling to saudi arabia to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to shore up diplomatic talks there. We can go now to tel aviv and speak to our reporter, Charlie Peters. Charlie, thank you very much. So what is the latest from where are . I mean, still no where you are . I mean, still no ground offensive. Ground offensive. Still ground offensive on still no ground offensive on a day of relatively low intensity with regards to rocket fire from hamas. Weve only been rocketed attacked once here in tel aviv, which is quite a low ratio for the usual rate of fire on us. And theres been limited rocket fire on southern israel as well. Beersheba and ashkelon, those two main southern israeli cities receiving their usual daily fire. But a lull of 18 hours, a whole 18 hours, which is unheard of since this conflict started between the last rocket attack on those communities in the south. In the north, there has also been a relatively low intensity of fighting between the idf and Lebanese Hezbollah in the last two hours, though, five unguided missiles were launched from southern lebanon into the northern territories. One of them was intercepted by the iron dome air defence system , but the dome air defence system, but the other four landed in open areas in the north. But while the situation here remains, as i said, a relatively lower intensity in the region, more widely is facing an escalation. Widely is facing an escalation. Protests in ramallah and the west bank, protests in beirut and lebanon, where american citizens have been ordered to evacuate and also protests outside israeli american and indeed british embassies in istanbul , in indeed british embassies in istanbul, in amman, in jordan, and also protests in libya and egypt as well. There are tensions are rife in all of those countries after that hospital explosion on tuesday night, which the americans and israelis have said with high confidence on their view and in their intelligence was the fault of the Palestinian Islamic jihad, but also the a big focus today is the arrival of Prime Minister rishi sunak. The situation here with him attempting to conduct some humanitarian and indeed some some militaristic diplomacy, trying to suggest his support for the israeli army, continued efforts against hamas and trying to secure some more information about the rescue of those hostages. And the supply of aid from egypt into gaza. But the situation continues and the escalation looks likely to continue around the region. Continue around the region. Yeah, no, indeed, charlie, i think something that might be quite bad news for the british taxpayer , just looking at it taxpayer, just looking at it from an arguably very selfish, but certainly hyper domestic angle is that Benjamin Netanyahu appears to be saying that they are preparing for a long war with hamas and i dont know about our viewers or our listeners, but when i heard that, i could hear the potential for a lot of british money to end up being spent over there on top of what were spending in ukraine, et cetera. Is that a legitimate concern or do you think or not . I think the concern is more for the american taxpayer, patrick. They fund billions of dollars every year into the military coffers. In israel. They spend well over a billion just on the air defence system. And in the last hour , weve seen aircraft last hour, weve seen aircraft heavy lift aircraft from the us air force landing in israel, delivering armoured vehicles to resupply those lost so far in the fighting in southern israel in particular, the british support will be more one of solidarity and that is the term that rishi sunak has used today. But we also know that since the start of this conflict, they have provided maritime have provided some Maritime Patrol aircraft from the Royal Air Force to keep an eye on the situation here. That signals and Imagery Intelligence likely to support the israeli war effort. Support the israeli war effort. But lets forget those but lets not forget those Maritime Patrol aircraft between 2010 and 2020. We did not even have that capability due to the cuts to the military that have been going on since 2010. So a very limited offering that the military has at the moment. And quite frankly, what israel needs that have, its that britain doesnt have, its all going to come from washington. If it comes from anywhere. Arguably, britain anywhere. Britain ably, britain anywhere. Britain doesnt britain anywhere. Britain doesnt have tain anywhere. Britain doesnt have atn needs, britain doesnt have at the either. Charlie, the moment either. But charlie, thank you very, very much. Charlie there. We are Charlie Peters there. We are looking at live shots from looking there at live shots from israel as a helicopter is in the sky. I believe thats near the border with lebanon, which has actually seen quite intense skirmishes well skirmishes recently. Look, well bnng skirmishes recently. Look, well bring you any updates as and when get them. We be when we get them. We will be going to live throughout going to israel live throughout the course of the show. We the course of the show. And we are expecting rishi sunak to touch in saudi arabia touch down in saudi arabia again. Well bring that you. Again. Well bring that to you. Any developments he any developments there as he looks to shore up diplomatic relations . Im just on an relations . But im just on an email in here now, which leads relations . Alan partridge actor steve coogan is being criticised for giving his views on the crisis, not just him giving his views on the crisis, notjust him loads of giving his views on the crisis, not just him loads of others. These these luvvies are under fire. Okay, so its a letter thats been signed by 2000 people. So okay. And they fail to condemn hamass brutal attacks. They are calling for a ceasefire. It includes actors, ceasefire. It includes actors, musicians , artists, and theyre musicians, artists, and theyre saying that they are desperate for every act of violence against civilians and every infringement of International Law. Whoever perpetrates them to be condemned. But they dont actually go on to specifically name hamas , apparently. And that name hamas, apparently. And that has enraged a lot of people. But i am asking today, does he command the same level of respect as our late, great queen . Patrick christys gb news, britains news channel sunday mornings from 930 on. Gb sunday mornings from 930 on. Gb news about what you are looking at there. If youre watching us on tv or online, is the live scene from gaza city. Still no Ground Invasion from the israelis, but the latest lines out of today is that rishi sunak has been to israel. Hes spoken to Benjamin Netanyahu and hes re established britains desire for also for israel to win. Hes also said help whatever said will help do whatever it takes. Go to the lebanese takes. Lets go to the lebanese border now with israel, which we can show you. There it is. Yes. So this has been the scene of fierce skirmishes in recent days. It has been a very quiet days. It has been a very quiet day so far. Days. It has been a very quiet day so far. But we should all bearin day so far. But we should all bear in mind what Benjamin Netanyahu had to say earlier on, which is that he is preparing for a long war with hamas. So thats the very latest. This could well be famous last words. But as it currently stands, a relatively quiet day in the israel gaza saga. But closer to home, king charles has given whats been dubbed as his very own state of the union address. I dont know if any of you caught this yesterday. He spoke about what he sees as British Values that he says holds us all together. Together. I have often described the United Kingdom as a community of communities , as an island nation communities, as an island nation in which our shared values are the force which holds us together at such a juncture in our national life. There are special strengths which we can summon to help us deep wells on which we can draw this includes the practise of our religious faith in freedom and Mutual Understanding such an understanding such an understanding both at home and overseas , is never more vital overseas, is never more vital than at times of International Turmoil and heartbreak. Yes. Okay. So that was king yes. Okay. So that was king charles. Im joined now by the wonderful former bbc royal correspondent and friend of the show, jennie bond. Jennie, thank you very much. So do you think that what king charles had to say there was correct . Do you think its reasonable . Do you think its reasonable . Do you think he understands maybe how divided the world and dare i say it, britain is these days . It, britain is these days . Oh, yes. I think he understands that very profoundly. You have to remember, this is a man who has devoted a great deal of his life to understanding the different religious faiths around the world, not just understanding , world, not just understanding, but practising a lot of meetings with with people of different faiths. And hes a man who cares faiths. And hes a man who cares extremely deeply about those different ages and about what we have in common. Despite those differences which so often shape conflicts around the world. And i think we should be pleased that we are fortunate enough to have a monarch who has such a deep understanding and is willing to talk about it, however obliquely he did not mention the middle east in his speech at mansion, but every word seemed to be shot through with nuances about the dreadful conflict thats going on. Yes, no, indeed. And now yes, no, indeed. And now davids been on. David says this i absolutely adored our late queen, i think, because of her lengthy reign, it will take time to build up the same level of respect and admiration that she commanded. But i think hes commanded. But i think hes getting off to a decent start. Its still early days. Thats david in scarborough. That was my general kind of takeaway last night from this , which was he night from this, which was he just doesnt have the same gravitas as the queen, but is that unfair . That unfair . Yes, i think it is unfair. Yes, i think it is unfair. I think he does have actually more gravitas. We know what he thinks about a lot of issues. A lot of issues. He has been so active in campaigning, he has been so active in campaigning , particularly, as campaigning, particularly, as i say, on unity within the religions and harmony generally. He he talks on and on about harmony. Harmony. Hes written a book called harmony , harmony, mankind, and harmony, harmony, mankind, and nature, harmony between our different peoples and hes tried here to really pitch this speech extremely carefully. Extremely carefully. And i think he succeeded. And i think he succeeded. And i think he succeeded. And i think he succeeded. And he has, of course, been very evenhanded in that as soon as the awful attack , the hamas as the awful attack, the hamas attack on israel happened, he invited the chief rabbi to buckingham palace. He called King Abdullah of jordan. He also called president herzog of israel. Herzog of israel. So hes being both proactive and ad very equally balanced, i think, in his actions. And he has to be careful. And he has to be careful. And he has to be careful. Well, he does have to be very careful. Dont we all these days, unfortunately. But there we go. I wonder whether or not he is ideally placed to help britain much as possible when britain as much as possible when it comes to whats been going on in middle and the in the middle east and the middle is, lets be honest middle east is, lets be honest with a mess. Okay. With you, a bit of a mess. Okay. In terms of internal conflicts and ramifications that that and the ramifications that that can spill out into the can have to spill out into the wider world. Okay. Do you think that relationships, like the that his relationships, like the ones you just outlined that his relationships, like the ones canyou just outlined that his relationships, like the ones canyou ju help lined that his relationships, like the ones canyou ju help britain there, can really help britain in soft diplomacy . In terms of soft diplomacy . I do. And quite yes, i do. And quite honestly, if anyone in this awful situation , if anyone can awful situation, if anyone can say anything which might prevent this conflict escalating into world turmoil, weve got to hear it, havent we . And so he has a Global Platform and hes using it extremely carefully. You know, i understand that he spent a long time thinking about this speech. It was his words. And he reflected on each of those words very carefully. And i think it very carefully. And i think it was a really excellent i wont not an intervention , but not an intervention, but reflection on the state of the United Kingdom and the state of world affairs. World affairs. Okay, jenny, thank you very, very much. That is jennie bond there, the bbcs former royal correspondent, with some interesting insight there, i think into king charles. Just going to delve into the inbox. Gb views of gbnews. Com thank you, everybody. Whos been getting in touch today. The kings was excellent, kings speech was excellent, says linda. It is totally irrelevant to compare him standing with that of the late his standing with that of the late queen. Im sorry, your majesty, though this is a different email now, but i find these days that my British Values dont seem to be the same as a lot of other people, and thatis as a lot of other people, and that is something that were going to talk about a going to go on to talk about a little bit later on in the show as well. You know, mod in britain, all of that britain, what does all of that really especially light really mean, especially in light of night . Think there was of last night . I think there was quite an unusual but not entirely concerning development , entirely concerning development, which that pro palestine which was at that pro palestine protest art demonstration on downing street. At some point there was a pause for a call to prayer. I suppose its an unusual sight, is it not, to see a couple of hundred people lining whitehall doing the islamic prayer . You islamic call to prayer . You dont every day. They dont see that every day. They got people quite exercised got some people quite exercised having a little chat about all of that and we are going to be talking well about old talking as well about the old luvvie yes luvvie celebs, arent we . Yes loads between now and loads to come between now and 4 00. Out why. Alan 4 00. Find out why. They stand in front of a moving lorry and that lorry continues to move. And theyre like, whoa, whoa, whoa, you cant that. So those people cant do that. So those people that get right in your face and shout you constantly you shout at you constantly and you go just back go look, can you just back off a bit . They go, dont touch me, dont touch me all day. Thats assault. Anyway, there we are. So didnt work. Lets cross so they didnt work. Lets cross now speak to gb now to portland and speak to gb news, of england. News, south west of england. Reporter moody. Just reporter jeff moody. Jeff, just stop. Unsuccessful. The stop. Oil were unsuccessful. The coach not be coach driver shall not be defeated. Defeated. Absolutely. Yeah. But the absolutely. Yeah. But the Just Stop Oil lot werent very happy with it, were they . They accosted me about an hour ago as well saying that they, they were nearly killed by the driver and that, you know , he was at fault that, you know, he was at fault and that were at fault. It was and that were at fault. It was very unpleasant indeed. But the migrants are now on board. There is now one coach thats arrived. Is now one coach thats arrived. Were expecting another coach, we think, tomorrow and possibly monday, too. But one lot is on. Were not sure exactly how many are on because the windows of the coach were blacked out. But we that last time it we know that last time it amounted to around 39 people that were on board last time there a little bit of there was a little bit of a protest at port to from the protest at the port to from the stand up to racism brigade. They they were protesting not that they were protesting not that they dont want the refugees there. Theyre saying that they think that the barge is not suitable for them, that its a pnson suitable for them, that its a prison barge and really that they shouldnt be treated with such indignity as to be put onto that barge. Thats a view thats shared by some of the migrants themselves. Last time they were on barge for that brief on the barge for that brief penod on the barge for that brief period august before period of time in august before the whole legionnaires disease thing erupted, they were they wrote a letter to the home office, a joint open letter , to office, a joint open letter, to say that they really didnt want to go back to the bibby stockholm because it was bringing back memories of their perilous crossing from france to britain and crossings that they had before forehand to get into europe in the first place. And saying that, you know , they saying that, you know, they really didnt feel that it was right for their own Mental Health to be on board the barge. But as we know, many journalists look around barge and a few look around the barge and a few months ago , about a month before months ago, about a month before it was opened up, the first time round and reported back that although the accommodation is very basic and the barges around 50 old, its perfectly 50 years old, its perfectly decent accommodation. On the decent accommodation. On the main issue that they had was that theyre packed into the rooms, that there are sort of two people in in one room and a bunk bed. Some of the rooms have got more people in up to six, 7 or 8 people per room. And that, they say, was an issue that was certainly one of the main issues when it came to fire regulations. But those issues seem to have resolved themselves regulations. But those issues seen of have resolved themselves regulations. But those issues seerrof hailegalolved themselves regulations. But those issues seerrof hai legal challenges ielves. All of the legal challenges seem to have resolved themselves. The mayor of portland legal portland herself took a legal action to the high court to try and prevent the barge from filling up, saying that various planning loopholes hadnt been fulfilled and that was kicked out of court fairly swiftly. So now were in a situation where the barge is filling up. One coach load today , more to come. Coach load today, more to come. We still dont know how many are on board, but it could get up to 500 in time. 500 in time. Well, indeed. Look jeff, thank you very much for doing stellar stuff there and apologies for you getting accosted stop oil. But accosted by. Just stop oil. But you know, we have been quite categoric about putting their side of events out there, as anyone can see now, watching this television or online. This on television or online. This apparently live footage this is apparently live footage or sorry, as live footage, i should say, of Just Stop Oil nearly killed by a coach nearly being killed by a coach driver. Ah, i mean nearly being killed by a coach driver. Ah, i mean , oh, grief. Driver. Ah, i mean, oh, grief. I mean , look at that. You stand. I mean, look at that. You stand. I mean, look at that. You stand. I mean, you stand in front of a coach as its moving on. I mean, the fact is they cant even just stop coach , can they . Thats stop coach, can they . Thats whats happened there dressed as you know, right . Orange tangerine numpties standing in front of a coach. Theyre trying to stop people. I mean, talking about trauma as well. I dont know how big the Just Stop Oil community is in places like afghanistan , iran or places like afghanistan, iran or places like that. People have that. But those people must have got clue what was got a flipping clue what was going here. They sit in going on here. Then they sit in the dont they . Look at the road, dont they . Look at them. You the road. How them. You sit in the road. How dare you keep moving to try to do your job . They need to stop. Oh,. Oh, gosh. I mean , yeah. Oh, no. Oh, gosh. I mean, yeah. There we go. So anyway, that is Just Stop Oils latest attempt. Can i just say i think thats. Do we all i dont know. Do i think hats off to the coach driver. I dont think anyone appears to have been seriously hurt there. He certainly didnt mind. Interesting as well. A mind. Interesting as well. Not a lot of the other drivers on the other side of that road or members the public rushed to members of the public rushed to just do Just Stop Oils defence, do they . For an organisation that claims best claims to have the publics best interests at heart, i dont really think the general public care much about so really think the general public care stuff|uch about so really think the general public care stuff from rbout so really think the general public care stuff from rbouistop so really think the general public care stuff fromrbouistop oilo some stuff from Just Stop Oil there more than 2000 there now more than 2000 artists, and musicians, artists, actors and musicians, including oscar tilda including oscar winner Tilda Swinton, neither and steve swinton, may neither and steve coogan have signed a letter condemning bombing of condemning israels bombing of gaza. Nothing wrong with that , gaza. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but the only problem is that they didnt mention hamas terror attacks. Double hamas terror attacks. Double standards, anyone . Yes its luvvies under fire time. People. Patrick christys gb News Business news show Michael Portillo gb news britains news channel. Britains news channel. Well, at 4 00 we will cross live to israel. What youre looking at there is gaza city where there has just been an explosion, of course, and after hamas said that an israeli airstrike has killed one of the terror groups top officials. So it had been previously quite a quiet day so far in gaza and israel. I mean , by their israel. I mean, by their standards, lets be honest. But now we are seeing a plume of smoke above gaza, which indicates there has just been a rather large explosion. More on that as we get it. But actors, including steve coogan and oscar winner Tilda Swinton , have been winner Tilda Swinton, have been criticised after they condemn israels military action in gaza. But did not mention hamass terror attacks. So more hamass terror attacks. So more than 2000 artistes, actors and musicians signed a letter from a Group Calling itself artists for palestine uk. The letter says palestine uk. The letter says our governments are not only tolerating war crimes but aiding and abetting them. We support the Global Movement against the destruction of gaza and the mass displacement of the Palestinian People. We demand that our governments their military governments and their military and Political Support for israels actions. Or what can i israels actions. Or what can i just say . Or what we demand . What are you going to do . So stop starring in hamlet. No. No one cares. Lets cross now and speak to david mensah, who is a middle east expert and a former director of labour friends of israel. Now, look, david, i was obviously kind of poking fun at them there, but i think from your perspective, there is actually a very serious criticism of this particular group of people, isnt there . And ill just throw that over to you. Look, im speaking to you live from tel aviv, and i think the perspective from here right now is to me, it looks like, you know, youve got to be a special kind of jew hater to sign this sort of drivel at a time. But 13 days ago when my people, jewish people, that certainly recognises evil when we see it, when weve suffered the most appalling day of savagery since, i think the holocaust , you know, this savagery since, i think the holocaust, you know, this this letter is so misguided and misplaced. I simply say to this group of misfits and weirdos that i invite them to rescue their ailing careers and try their chances as artists in in gaza under the hamas regime. You know, if they do that, i promise to sign a letter when they are locked up by hamas, theyd be lucky if theyre locked up because theyd most likely, judging from hamass. Record, have their throat cut. Well, its strong stuff. Obviously david, do you think that they just fundamentally dont understand the problem , or dont understand the problem, or is it that you think that there is it that you think that there is an undertone of anti semitism. Here look, i say quite clearly , i look, i say quite clearly, i said these are special kinds of jew haters. We cant anymore just forgive people for being ignorant about the terrible events that have happened in this country to the jewish people. The most appalling , people. The most appalling, appalling savagery which is still today being unfolded. You know, still today, weve had volleys of rockets, but not only that, we believe that there are still some of these hamas operatives roaming around the country waiting for this moment for another moment to strike. We cannot excuse this as just ignorance at the very least, they could recognise that there is no monopoly of pain in this region. But in this particular case, hamas are a genocidal group that need to be defeated and they have chosen their side the wrong side, i might add. The wrong side, i might add. It is a very, very interesting interaction and i suspect the kind of thing that you might do if you did live in a bit of a lovey bubble. Actually and not quite understand the wider consequences. There i would imagine, though, david, that everybody who signed this letter would deny that they are a jew hater, that is, of course, your views. I will just out views. I will just read out a couple of things on this letter. So gaza already a society of so gaza is already a society of refugees. It says, and the children of refugees now in their hundreds of thousands bombarded from air, sea and land. Palestinians whose grandparents forced out of grandparents were forced out of their homes at the barrel of a gun are again being told to flee or face collective punishment on an unimaginable scale. What do you make of that . Of course , a you make of that . Of course, a massive misrepresentation of history. You know, i dont want to remind your viewers and listeners that, of course, 80 of gazas residents voted for hamas. That was their one and single election before hamas killed the opposition. And got rid of all elections. Unfortunately there is not much of a Peace Movement in gaza. When the twin towers came down, they handed out sweets and candies in gaza. When these poor candies in gaza. When these poor hostages were paraded through the streets of gaza, they handed out sweets and candies in gaza on the most terrible barbarism meted out on whether its israelis or anyone else. They had out sweets and candy in gaza. The best thing for peace right now would to be erase hamas from the face of the earth. That will then give the Palestinian People a chance to take up one of those many pieces which they have rejected for many, many pieces. They continue to reject. And finally put out their hand in genuine peace with their hand in genuine peace with the people of israel. The jewish people. People. Yeah. What would your direct message to steve coogan and Tilda Swinton . Maxine peake, who are amongst the more famous people who have put their names to this letter . What would your direct message to them be . I would say that it would be a great idea if you took a little trip down to hamas and educated yourself into the gaza strip and see what its like for artists going to, you know, perhaps give over any sort of opposition to the genocidal islamic fundamentalist regime. Islamic fundamentalist regime. Just educate yourself, go and visit and then come over to israel and see the flourishing democratic scene which exists here in israel and compare the two and then make a decision about where youd rather live and which you know. But that is being too kind to them because i have had enough of this idea about, oh, well, people are misinformed. This is not misinformed. This is not misinformed. There has been misinformed. There has been a genocide committed. The most appalling act of inhumanity of people. These are free. The advocates of these terrible acts. They live streamed their acts like the tried to destroy the evidence. They live streamed it on tiktok on telegram on facebook. They live streamed it. Facebook. They live streamed it. Theres no longer an excuse to say, well, they dont quite understand because theyre theyre lovey bubble. Unfortunate we recognise this sort of stupidity and its a hatred as well. And theres a name for it. I call it. I mean, unfortunately, right on cue , unfortunately, right on cue, david, we are now looking at another explosion in gaza. Thats a couple in the last ten minutes or so. And they ten minutes or so. And they describe in this letter, they quote the israeli minister of defence, yoav galant , depiction defence, yoav galant, depiction of palestinians as apparently human animals. The signatories say that palestinians have become people to whom almost anything can be done. Do become people to whom almost anything can be done. Do you think that there is a certain kind of idiocy here from the likes of steve coogan, who no doubt would jump on an lgbtq plus bandwagon . Who would add, you know, talk about human rights, who would quite possibly talk about womens rights, who has benefited massively from being able to operate and live in a free liberal society , too. In a free liberal society, too. I mean , yeah, okay. Theyre on i mean, yeah, okay. Theyre on the side of the Palestinian People all they say. But clearly a lot of those people support, you know, a hard line islamist regime. That is i think, quite a hypocritical situation, isnt it . Look, i would prefer to quote to you, rishi sunak, who appeared alongside the israeli Prime Ministerjust appeared alongside the israeli Prime Minister just today, whose words were we want you to win. Those were rishis words, very, very impressive. I mean, a real very impressive. I mean, a real shotin very impressive. I mean, a real shot in the arm for the people of israel. Look, there have been ten murdered brits , five ten murdered brits, five missing, five missing brits. I would encourage these some of these stars , most of them are these stars, most of them are nobodies with no career whatsoever. But i grant you, steve coogan is a big. Do you think people. David, let me just ask you this quickly. Just let me just ask you this quickly. Do you think that that jewish people should boycott anything that steve coogan does future . Steve coogan does in future . Are so few jewish look, there are so few jewish people uk. About people in the uk. Theres about 300,000. Its barely a, you know, scintilla of a number of know, a scintilla of a number of people. So that wouldnt make a difference. Neither here nor there. I would simply say to steve coogan, educate yourself. Okay. Have a look at the situation of freedom in gaza and even in the in in the west bank, where artists are routinely locked up, if not worse , educate locked up, if not worse, educate yourself and then make a decision. Look, david, thank you very much. And its good to see that you are keeping safe in tel aviv. As david mentioned, there is a middle east expert and a former director of the labour friends of israel, just to say as those are those are as well, those are those are live scenes of gaza. Of course, all of the lovely celebrities who have decided to sign this letter would probably look at that and say maybe it justifies what theyre saying. Of course, we support the Global Movement against the destruction of gaza. Against the destruction of gaza. They say the mass displacement of palestinian of the Palestinian People. I completely what david completely understand what david was saying, though, about this idea that what went on as a result of hamass actions are not condemned in this letter. And you have to find that quite intriguing, dont you . But yesterday i told you all about the to news from the decision to ban gb news from tvs welsh parliament. Tvs in the welsh parliament. Well, today the leader of the house penny house of commons, penny mordaunt, with mordaunt, remember her on with the shes weighed the big sword. Shes weighed into the debate. Okay. And its fair say shes on our side. Fair to say shes on our side. I think my record, even, even pnor think my record, even, even prior to taking this role has been that i have stood up and fought for this house. The first year of the pandemic, and honourable members will know i spent every single day on the phone to all members of this house updating them in my role as paymaster general on what was happening. And i take what was happening. And i take my responsibilities this house very, very seriously indeed. But i shall always stand up and fight for this house and my country. I will not be lying down with a Just Stop Oil and damaging our energy security. I will not be lying down potentially with the liberal democrats and the honourable ladies encouraging words about proportional representation. I proportional representation. I will not be lying down with the snp, the honourable lady will be very pleased to hear and contemplate assisting them on a second referendum. Those are the facts, mr speaker, and i can understand why labour dont like them , which is perhaps why they them, which is perhaps why they have chosen to ban some news programming available on freeview to anyone operating in the in the senate. The in the senate. Right. Well, that was penny mordaunt, right . Yes some breaking news that you will have just upon your just seen flashed upon your screen which is that screen there, which is that rishi sunak has now arrived third arabia for that third in saudi arabia for that next leg of his middle eastern tour. We are on tv on Digital Radio, if you want us on your smart speaken if you want us on your Smart Speaker, just say play gb news. Thats it for me for the moment. Now back to. Patrick now back to. Patrick well, i just wanted to doff my cap to the heroine of hartlepool , tory mp jill hartlepool, tory mp jill mortimer. She had the bottle to stand up in parliament and say what so many other mps are too afraid to say. She wants dodgy afraid to say. She wants dodgy Asylum Seekers out of her area. Now mortimers impassioned outburst came after a moroccan Asylum Seeker who has now appeared in court, was arrested on suspicion of murdering a 70 year old resident of the area. Now, obviously, i cant pass comments on that specific case, given the Legal Proceedings are undennay , but there is a wider undennay, but there is a wider point here which she makes. Point here which she makes. Lets play the clip. Every week my office is besieged by Asylum Seekers. My staff are intimidated by young men. The fact is most of them are Illegal Migrants who should be expelled. Be expelled. Enough is enough. I want these people out of hartlepool now. I would like to reassure her that this government is doing everything we can to tackle illegal migration and the harm it causes by removing those with no right to be here in the uk. We have excellent long standing relationships return people relationships to return people to many countries. We have returning thousands of people more this year than we have done in past and we will continue in the past and we will continue to use every avenue at our disposal to ensure that it is only this country and this government who decides come government who decides to come here and criminal gangs. Here and not criminal gangs. Yeah, exactly. Again just want to emphasise that there is a wider picture here about asylum and not anything to do with anything thats ongoing in that area. But this is the bit that area. But this is the bit that im focussed on is every week my office is besieged by Asylum Seekers. My staff are intimidated by young men. The fact that most of them are fact is that most of them are Illegal Migrants who should be expelled enough is enough, expelled and enough is enough, she night on she continued. Last night on farage. He says, i have a fantastic team of very dedicated people in hartlepool. Weve undertaken 9000 pieces of casework and correspondents since i came in in 2021. They do amazing work and they shouldnt have to put up with this when they contact the home office to get an update on these people who knock on the door to find out happening with their out whats happening with their applications. Is out whats happening with their applications. Is a is a good fit for you . Very often they will find out that these people have been on than been refused asylum on more than one occasion previously. Right. One occasion previously. Right. Well, we have it. Thats well, there we have it. Thats the reality, isnt it . Well done for calling it out. Jill mortimer, the fact is that if more mps had the bottle to come out and say what the reality was in their local area, then there is a chance that wouldnt is a chance that we wouldnt have got ourselves into this mess. Were gasps in the mess. There were gasps in the chamber people shocked by chamber from people shocked by what jill had chamber from people shocked by whatjill had to say. Chamber from people shocked by what jill had to say. Well, what jill had to say. Well, those people want to get out more because she was actually saying what the vast majority of the British Public thinking. The British Public are thinking. Well listen, i think i want to hear from you, gb views on gbnews. Com but on to other matters now, the latest on the israel hamas war. And in the last few minutes, rishi sunak has arrived in saudi arabia on the latest stage of his trip to the latest stage of his trip to the middle east. Sunak met israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu this morning as the United States told all citizens to leave lebanon. Sunak emphasise that it was important that the conflict between israel and hamas didnt escalate into the wider middle eastern region. The wider middle eastern region. Hamas is perpetrate an absolutely barbaric act of terrorism. Im sure many people will have seen seen seen the videos. They are horrific. They videos. They are horrific. They chill you. They certainly have done that to me. And everyone can see that they represent pure evil. And its right that israel exercises its right to self defence. It has not just the right to protect its citizens, the duty to protect its citizens and ensure that Something Like this can never happen again. Its important that the conflict doesnt regionally. Its important that the conflict doesnt im regionally. Its important that the conflict doesnt im talking|ally. Its important that the conflict doesnt im talking to. Y. Its important that the conflict doesnt im talking to as thats why im talking to as many people as i can across the region. Ive already done that and ill able to see more and ill be able to see more people person trip. People in person on this trip. No one to see this no one wants to see this conflict escalate and indeed the uk has sent various military assets into the mediterranean to prevent regional escalation. So some of our surveillance aircraft, for example, are ensuring shipments ensuring that arms shipments dont find their way to people like hezbollah. Like hezbollah. Right. Like hezbollah. Right. That like hezbollah. Right. That was like hezbollah. Right. That was rishi sunak there. As you can see. Im joined now by Charlie Peters, our man in tel aviv. The Prime Minister has now travelled to saudi arabia to meet up with Prince Mohammed bin to Prince Mohammed bin salman to shore diplomatic shore up those diplomatic relations between those countries. But, charlie, since countries. But, charlie, since we last spoke, we have seen a couple of explosions take place in is the latest on in gaza. What is the latest on the ground there . Still no Ground Invasion taking place. Still not much about still not much news about hostages as well. And northern hostages as well. And northern lebanon, we have had 30 rockets fired by hamas in the last hour. Theyve claimed responsibility for strikes there. And the local Emergency Rescue team reporting some people wounded in the north in that latest round of strikes. So that latest round of strikes. So the iron dome failing to intercept all of those missiles since the start of this war. The air defence system here, which fires rockets into the to air destroy incoming missiles from hamas, hezbollah or Palestinian Islamic jihad, has had around a 90 success rate. But still some injuries in the latest round of fires. Weve also seen rocket attacks in the last hour in the south in ashkelon and beersheba. And as rishi sunak knack left israel, weve also had reports of a general in the Southern Command where that convoy is gathering who has told soldiers and reporters in a base down there that the next bit of fighting will be in their territory, referring , we territory, referring, we understand, to the gaza strip , understand, to the gaza strip, saying that it will be the manoeuvre will be in the gaza strip. So more hints towards that likely Ground Invasion. Very important quotes there from an idf general. But very important quotes there from an idf general. But lets turn an idf general. But lets turn our attention further beyond israel, because there have been Significant Developments in iraq and syria in the last 24 hours. Weve been having this conversation, havent we, about the risk of escalation and regional tensions boiling over . Well, that seems to be occurring in syria and iraq, where us bases in iraq and syria have been struck by missile fire and drone strikes. According to the latest reports, terror groups there that are aligned with iran , they are proxy groups of the Islamic Revolutionary guard corps launch using what they claim to be suicide drones. Claim to be suicide drones. These are rocket drones that they launch from the ground, direct on ground locations to cause maximum damage. The us did evacuate medically some of its personnel yesterday in the al hira airbase with what they said were traumatic brain injuries, but they did manage to intercept some drones over another base in that region. But this morning and this afternoon , this morning and this afternoon, two strikes in syria on us forces there. If us casualties forces there. If us casualties take place from iranian proxies, thats going to be a significant factor for escalation in this devastating war. Charlie, thank you very much. Charlie peters there in tel aviv. Im just going to bring you some breaking news now. Yes, some breaking news now. Yes, some breaking news now. Yes, some breaking news. 11 Illegal Migrants have been arrested in a swoop of a top london hotel. One of those arrested have been smuggled into the uk illegally. So yes , just a recap for you is so yes, just a recap for you is the latest breaking news which is that 11 Illegal Migrants have been arrested at that top london hotel, the London Marriott Hotel , regents park. Apparently theyd been employed illegally as things like cleaners, porters and maids. Theyve been working 15 through a third 15 hour days through a third party recruit treatment agency. Party recruit treatment agency. So there we go. Well bring you more updates on that as and when we get it. Now, yesterday we covered the pro palestine indian demonstration at downing street. Hundreds of people were there and the event ended with the islamic call to prayer taking place on the street just outside downing street. Lets check this out. Out. An angry mililani seen alok sharma man wahine manteo amid. The yeah, i mean, its unusual, isnt it, in britain to see that . Certainly outside downing street. I cant recall it happening before. Maybe im wrong. Maybe ive missed something the past, but what something in the past, but what do you make of that . Gb views gb news. Made. Com. Im joined now by dr. Sheikh ramzi , who is by dr. Sheikh ramzi, who is a director at Oxford Islamic Information Centre at oic. Thank you very much. Great to have you on the show. Good stuff. So some on the show. Good stuff. So some people will say that is an example of modern, multicultural britain at its finest. Other britain at its finest. Other people might say thats quite unusual. People might say thats quite unusual. Well, and i wouldnt unusual. Well, and i wouldnt expect that in a christian country. What do you make of that . Well, of course, everybody im sure if the if the christians were there and theyre doing it, the muslims would enjoy it. It is a very good call to prayer, which theyve done. The people are you theyve done. The people are you know, theyve were chanting before and the and shouting and the pressure gone very high. Now, as soon as the prayer and call to prayer and pray come, everybody relaxes everyone is going to god. Of course, the imam is a very close friend of mine. Hes imam of the imam of the Central Mosque in london. Hes a very good imam, beautiful voice. And they hold the prayer. I saw the call to prayer coming. They are remedy. You believe me, its a remedy for heart and soul of all. As as as we have any any friend which we have come from. For example , goes to turkey, for example, goes to turkey, goes to egypt to lebanon. They come and say the first thing they say, we love the call to prayer in the morning. You prayer in the morning. You believe me. And therefore , they believe me. And therefore, they they enjoy it despite a unity they enjoy it despite a unity they show. And im sure im sure many christians are there, too. I am sure the mosque in the mosque, many, many christians come and do it for us. With us. Okay. All right. And what would you say to some people who, again , maybe found that who, again, maybe found that a little bit unusual , maybe little bit unusual, maybe theres even been the words online. Some people said, oh, i found that a little bit intimidating. What do you make of you think it is intimidating . Dont think its i dont think its intimidating. They are they are doing praying to god. Of course , doing praying to god. Of course, even if hes an atheist. But even if hes an atheist. But they said, okay, they have a they said, okay, they have a they got i have my own. And are they got i have my own. And are they doing it . They no harm to anyone and am sure of this. If anybody say for example, for example, why are you doing that . First is of course it is a free country, multicultural, multi faith country which we are respecting all the religions. And of course they can do it. And of course they can do it. And we support them. Again, muslim , especially muslim, muslim, especially muslim, christian and jews, they are very, very near to each other. And when they call to prayer, come in and the name of god, they all respect it. They all join you, believe me, they all join, they all enjoy. And we ask everyone elses. Please enjoy , everyone elses. Please enjoy, boy. Enjoy it. See it is a different instead of going to, for example, turkey to see this , for example, turkey to see this, you see it in the in the middle of the street. And thats thats nice. I would have thought there is no harm and its beauty relaxed coming to all when the almighty god send his blessing , almighty god send his blessing, he doesnt bless and send it to all the muslim. He send it to all the muslim. He send it to all mankind around them. Therefore effective. Well thats an interesting point. Thats a really interesting point, because, you know, the way that youre describing it there, or maybe prayer in general is a very peaceful thing and is for all of mankind. Et cetera. Unfortunately we are currently in a situation around the world, but specifically right there on that very road in london where wed heard recently chants of things like from the river to the sea, palestine will be free, which does really mean the eradication of israel and quite possibly with it, the jewish people. How do those two things marry up . I dont think so. Marry up . I dont think so. I marry up . I dont think so. I dont i dont think so. I dont think its happening. The last time i did, i said i said that the jewish are destined to stay forever and muslim and christian. These are the these are the servants of the almighty god. However, when we are when we are not, we try to even even family trying to hurt each other. We have to be in peace. There is enough land in the palestine to goes or there is enough land to for example, you put your temple, there is enough land to help each other. We for example, you could see, you could see you show 5 2 minutes ago. Yeah. The, the children was unden ago. Yeah. The, the children was under, under the rubble. They would pull him off is not right. I am sure any part of the any jewish people also because they have their mother , their father, have their mother, their father, the children as well. Therefore we are the same. But the children as well. Therefore we are the same. But when the we are the same. But when the hatred come, they come. We try to hurt each other and say, please come all together, reach under the under the one god which all christians , muslim and which all christians, muslim and jewish have. And god blessing the god and live together in beautiful place. Enough place for all to live. Earth is enough place. God knows and blessing to all. But again, said i pray almighty god , this this war is almighty god, this this war is finishes quick and of course peace come and the two state solution inshallah. Oh right. Doctor sheikh ramsey , thank you very much. Ramsey, thank you very much. Great to get your views on the show is a director of the Oxford Islamic Information Centre. So Islamic Information centre. So yes, there we go. Right. Okay. Yes, there we go. Right. Okay. So well go live to israel again a little bit later on in the show and you can get lots more on that situation in the middle east on our website. Gbnews. Com its the Fastest GrowingNational News website in the country. Best country. Its got the best analysis, big opinion analysis, all the big opinion and latest breaking news now and the latest breaking news now , more than two months after the bibby stockholm was evacuated, migrants are now back on the barge. But there was quite an unusual turn of events earlier, to say the least. The bus carrying them was held up not by locals, no , not by anti racism locals, no, not by anti racism protesters. No. It was by just protesters. No. It was by Just Stop Oil activists who then decides to claim that the bus driver in question tried to kill them by running them over in the road again , despite the fact road again, despite the fact that they just put themselves in the road in traffic. And the outrage of these people is just unreal, isnt it . Massively inconveniencing people . In the past, weve seen Just Stop Oil blocking ambulances. Weve seen blocking ambulances. Weve seen Just Stop Oil getting in the way of all sorts, dragging police off the streets. The entitlement off the streets. The entitlement of these people seriously, you know what they should be ashamed that theyve put a bus driver, an ordinary working bloke by the looks of things in that position where hes confronted by that, his job is difficult enough. Hes had to pick up a load of people from a Migrant Hotel and then hes confronted by this. Nobodys enough deal nobodys paid enough to deal with of numpties with those kind of numpties Patrick Christys gb news isabel, monday to thursdays from six till 930. Six till 930. Wow. Wow. Wow. That is gonna city and we have seen some explosions taking place there in the last hour or so. But it does appear that those may have stopped for now. No massively Significant Developments today other than rishi sunak turning up and saying what hes frankly already said, which is that britain stands with israel and they will help whatever it takes. He help to do whatever it takes. He is now in saudi arabia meeting the prince to try to shore the crown prince to try to shore up diplomatic relations. So there we go. But more now on the migrant crisis. Yes, and more migrant crisis. Yes, and more than two months after legionella bacteria was found in the water supply of the bibby stockholm barge, Asylum Seekers, as theyve started to return to the vessel , i think theyve started to return to the vessel, i think many theyve started to return to the vessel , i think many people vessel, i think many people assumed that they never would. But we go. Migrants have but there we go. Migrants have been seen moving their suitcases back dorset barge after back onto the dorset barge after suppues back onto the dorset barge after supplies food and other supplies of food and other essentials were delivered on tuesday. Well, this was despite tuesday. Well, this was despite the best efforts of this lot. Yes, Just Stop Oil. Our old friends, they tried to hold up the bus carrying the migrants. I was originally going to be talking aboutjust was originally going to be talking about just stop was originally going to be talking aboutJust Stop Oil talking about Just Stop Oil today, but for a different reason, which is that their co founders were pre emptively arrested , as includes roger arrested, as includes roger hallam were pre emptively arrested because they were supposed to be planning something. Not this, though , something. Not this, though, interestingly, not this. And i was going to be doing a segment on whether or not that was right in a free country, can you really just pre emptively arrest someone . It was a little bit like, wasnt it, the coronation on not my king lot, where they were and then they on not my king lot, where they were up and then they on not my king lot, where they were up apologiselen they on not my king lot, where they were up apologise to they on not my king lot, where they were up apologise to them and ended up apologise to them and people saying was people were saying that was too heavy this heavy handed. And but then this happens. So there we go. You know, maybe the police did the right thing. Lets go now to portland gb news, portland and speak to gb news, south west england. Reporter portland and speak to gb news, souimoody. England. Reporter portland and speak to gb news, souimoody. Jefongland. Reporter portland and speak to gb news, souimoody. Jeff thankd. Reporter portland and speak to gb news, souimoody. Jeff thank you sporter portland and speak to gb news, souimoody. Jeff thank you veryer jeff moody. Jeff thank you very much. Few stories much. Its kind of a few stories wrapped into one here. Firstly migrants are now on the barge right . Right . They are indeed , yes. Weve they are indeed, yes. Weve had one coach load, as we know , had one coach load, as we know, a bit of an eventful journey, but that coach load is now on board. We dont know exactly how many people were on that coach because the windows were blacked out and the home office is telling us nothing. But we do know one coach has arrived, know that one coach has arrived, another one due to arrive another one is due to arrive possibly possibly possibly tomorrow, possibly on monday. Its monday. So we do know that its starting to fill up slowly. But yes, as say, it was a bit of yes, as you say, it was a bit of a tumultuous journey. I mean, a tumultuous journey. I mean, the coach driver knew that he was to be driving through was going to be driving through a he got to the a protest when he got to the gates of portland. They used to that by now. What he didnt realise was that he was going to face an altogether different protest, just to get onto protest, just trying to get onto the island of portland itself. If on the beach that if it was on the beach road that links the mainland weymouth links the mainland and weymouth to portland , a to the island of portland, a very small, narrow road, only one road onto the island and one road off. He was driving down that when out sprung. Just that road when out sprung. Just stop oil. And as youve seen the pictures, the driver , well, he pictures, the driver, well, he kept going. He wasnt going to stop for anything, was he, patrick stopped for anything and he didnt stop for anything. He now is facing accusations from oil that it was from Just Stop Oil that it was an attempt them, which an attempt to kill them, which is suitably dramatic. I mean, this is the kind of drama and hyperbole we expect hyperbole that we might expect from group of people who are from a group of people who are utterly convinced that were all going the going to be incinerate in the coming and that we coming years and that we shouldnt possibly bring children this horrible children into this horrible world, that be world, because that would be a terrible given what we are terrible thing given what we are doing crisis. So doing to the climate crisis. So you i suppose this you know, yes, i suppose this is the mass hysteria that the kind of mass hysteria that we might expect from them. There were other demonstrations out there werent there, there as well, werent there, jeff . It wasnt just Just Stop Oil. Worth, jeff . It wasnt just Just Stop Oilthe worth, jeff . It wasnt just Just Stop Oilthe is worth, jeff . It wasnt just Just Stop Oilthe is saying worth, jeff . It wasnt just Just Stop Oilthe is saying thatth, jeff . It wasnt just Just Stop Oilthe is saying that oil by the way, is saying that oil and Gas Production is to going lead to an exacerbation in the migrant crisis, which why migrant crisis, which is why they do this stunt. They decided to do this stunt. There some anti racism there was some anti racism people and weve also seen people and weve also seen people in portland as well who were just saying this isnt right. So i mean, to be fair, its almost like nobody really wants this to happen. Wants this to happen. No, thats right. I mean, the people of portland themselves have been very vocal about it, saying they really dont want it to come here. And theyve given very, very clear reasons. Firstly, the strain on the Health Service down here and on the other services is the home office has countered that by saying, well, actually its not going to affect your Health Service because theyre going to have their own doctors and dentists on board the dentists and nurses on board the vessel, course is then vessel, which of course is then aggravating things more aggravating things even more because people are saying, well, hang what do you mean hang on, what do you mean theyve got their own doctor on board . We cant see doctor for board . We cant see a doctor for love, money. We cant see a love, nor money. We cant see a dentist. I interviewed somebody the that lost four the other day that had lost four teeth hadnt been teeth because she hadnt been able a dentist here able to see a dentist down here in so long. You know, and people have really angry that all of these services are being provided and theyre not getting working. People in the area arent getting anything at all like that. Then, of course, like that. Then, of course, theres the whole business of integration , the fact that its integration, the fact that its not a prison barge. Theyre free not a prison barge. Theyre free to come and go as they like. Theyre free to wander out into port island, into weymouth to explore the area, meet the locals. Theyre perfectly free to do that. And a lot of people are saying, well, you know, we dont know who these people are. We dont know where they come from. Cant just hoist 500 from. You cant just hoist 500 people on us that we dont know who they are or what their background is. The home Office Counters that by saying, well, look, you know, you cant start saying , oh, theyre going to saying, oh, theyre going to commit crimes because, you know, these people are in the advanced stage ages of immigration. The advanced stages of being able to get their visa to stay in this country. Theyre not going to do anything to jeopardise that. They want a very easy, quiet life until they get to the point where they get that that home office stamp and they become a citizen of this country. So theyre saying, look, you shouldnt be worried about that. Theres nothing to worry about. But other people are saying , but other people are saying, well, you know, we dont know that. And when i heard earlier on today, a 17 Year Old Girl has been applying for work in the area and she was told that there was a job going on board the bibby stockholm. And if she doesnt take that job, her unemployment benefit will be stopped. And of course, people are saying, well , you cant are saying, well, you cant force people to work on board the bibby stockholm home when theres all this issue around safety involved. But of course, safety involved. But of course, the stand up to racism lot say, look, there isnt an issue about safety. Thats just racism. Um, safety. Thats just racism. Um, its racism out and out racism. To assume that someone is going to do something wrong just because theyre here in portland. So its a real tinderbox. There are so many tinderbox. There are so many different views , a view people different views, a view people are getting angrier more and more worked up. Its becoming a more worked up. Its becoming a very unpleasant place to report from patrick. Jeff, youre doing an amazing job picking through the minutia of nuttery that is taking place there at the moment. That is jeff moody , whos reporting for jeff moody, whos reporting for us from the seat. I love that. Right. So the anti racism bngade right. So the anti racism brigade say its not that we dont want migrant in our area. Its that we dont think that the accommodation for them is suitable or safe. And then when people who live in the area say, i dont want to work on this barge because i dont think it will be safe, they go, no, no, no, no, its safe. Its safe enough for you to work on, but its not. And if you dont want to work on it, youre to work on it, then youre a racist. But its not safe enough to put people on it. I mean, come on. There we go. Anyway, theres more thoughts coming to you in five. That you now in five. Im sure that youll to hear that youll be delighted to hear that harry meghan arent harry and meghan arent struggling of struggling with the cost of living crisis theyre on living crisis when theyre on houdayin living crisis when theyre on holiday in a place where apparently go to apparently billionaires go to escape yeah, escape millionaires. Yeah, more on in tech. But on that in just a tech. But right is your headlines. Right now is your headlines. Darren armstrong. Hi there it darren armstrong. Hi there it is. 433. Now king charles has given whats been dubbed by many as his very own state of the union address. He spoke about what he sees as British Values and that these all bind us together. Take it away. I have often described the United Kingdom as a community of communities , an island nation in communities, an island nation in which our shared values are the force which holds us together at such a juncture in our national life. There are special strengths which we can summon to help us deep wells on which we can draw. Help us deep wells on which we can draw. This help us deep wells on which we can draw. This includes the can draw. This includes the practise of our religious faiths in freedom and Mutual Understanding. Such understand understanding. Such understand being both at home and overseas is never more vital than at times of International Turmoil as well. King charles there issuing like, i said, is kind of state of the union address. Im going to have a chat about that. Im also going to have a chat about this wonderful, fabulous story about and meghan taking a about harry and meghan taking a private jet to an island where billionaires go to escape millionaires. It millionaires. But here to do it to brought the to somebody whos brought the sunshine today, sunshine with her today, its the angela levin. The wonderful angela levin. Angela great to have you on the show. You so much. Fan show. Thank you so much. A fan favourite here. Start with favourite here. Lets start with king so was king charles, then. So he was talking how we need to all talking about how we need to all you unite in times of international strife. Britain, of course, being a fabulously multicultural nation now means that when there are issues abroad, very often there are communities that affects right here in the uk. What do you make of what he had to say there . Do you think that was the right thing for him to say . I wondered if he would actually, and i was very pleased he did because i think like his mother, would choose mother, she would choose the moment when we needed to have like a grandmother or a grandfather who would sort of look after us and make sure that we felt it was all okay. And i thought it was perfect timing. And i thought he was very sensitive. I do know that he has people write his speech, but people who write his speech, but he then throws it away and redoes it himself and it comes very , very much soul destroying very, very much soul destroying for the people whose job it is to write. No, no, they used to it because they get it and they get paid anyway. But i mean, its just, you know, they sort of set it in action and they he has a bit which is part of his heart and his feelings. And i think you could tell from this that hes still much missing his still very much missing his mother because goes mother because he sort of goes back and i think theres back to her. And i think theres a bit that is just about a bit here that is just about harry and meghan. And i just harry and meghan. And i just read this. Okay, go on your lines. Do we pause instinctively lines. Do we pause instinctively and unerringly before speaking or acting to ensure we are affording equal weight to both sides of the balance . S our sides of the balance . S our society would be a kinder and gentler place for it right. And gentler place for it right. And i think its quite interesting because as a message to harry, dont come in and start shouting at me and demanding that, you know, years later that we still apologise to meghan. Apologise to meghan. You know, do you think you think you think that was a secret message to harry and meghan . Meghan . Well, i cant promise that, but i can pick up on things where theres something written between the lines right . And i between the lines right . And i think this is something thats written between the lines. Be calm , dont shout, dont nag , calm, dont shout, dont nag, dont demand. But lets sort of start lets try and keep things equal start lets try and keep things equal. I dont think harry will take the slightest bit of notice of it, unfortunately. Of it, unfortunately. Well, he might not have the time right now to take the slightest bit of notice of it because hes recently been jet setting again, hasnt he . Setting again, hasnt he . Yes, he has been. Yes, he has been. Jet setting. So. So hes done a days work. Man of the people a days work. Man of the people a few days off. Yeah, right. Yeah, right. So, so, so private jets to an island where billionaires go to escape millionaires. Is that right . Rephrase that. It is. Its great. Its great. Yes. Its great. Its great. Yes. Its a kind of place where you would go to escape me. I would never know. You know, thats the thing. So. So whats whats like beaches and things like that. Whats very interesting is that there are 3 places that there are 2 or 3 places they could have stayed at, but they could have stayed at, but they probably stayed soho they probably stayed at soho house, which their which is house, which is their which is meghans very, very good friend. And where she met harry before it was announced way back in london. So theyve built up and actually she gets the cost overnight. Is 1,200 per night overnight. Is 1,200 per night per night, and she gets a special offer. So she might not special offer. So she might not be a billionaire after all. She might still be a millionaire. And. £1,020 as it is i it. And. £1,020 as it is i it. Its like a premier inn, isnt it . Oh fantastic. This island, in case youre wondering , because were doing. Were doing the work of the tourist board. Not that theyd have the great unwashed people here, great unwashed of people here, but in the grenadines. But can organ in the grenadines. Yes, right. But can organ in the grenadines. Yes ittht. But can organ in the grenadines. Yes its idyllic. If you like its idyllic. If you like that sort of thing. But i do think they rub it in your face somehow instead of just being quiet something. Quiet and enjoying something. And if youve got loads of money, spend it however you like. But the meanwhile , like. But in the meanwhile, theyre still nagging for money. It the kids are it doesnt appear the kids are there. There. Gone without the kids. No, theyve gone without the kids. Might not be kids. But it might not be suitable. But thats right. Suitable. But thats all right. But i think if youre still shouting at father to give shouting at your father to give you money or your late grandmother to give you money and then you go off and spend it all like that and you make no sign that , you know, youre sign that, you know, youre being cautious or that youre not actually to going take planes and things and tell people they cant. But you can. So i think its actually rather distasteful in the same way when meghan goes to a poor places where children are poor, that she wears you know, jewellery and clothes were several thousand pounds when actually you could play it down a little bit. What . So yeah , i mean, look, what . So yeah, i mean, look, some people might say that they are so famous s that they need to go somewhere like the tiny island of canouan in Saint Vincent and the grenadines to just make sure that they can stay away from prying eyes. You know, she wants to wear a bikini on the beach or something. I dont know. You dont want you dont know. You dont want you dont want that . No. Do you buy that . No, i dont buy that. I think she wants to go. She can tick the people she meets so that she can then talk about them and say, is my very best say, well, this is my very best friend this another very friend and this is another very best friend. I think its more like that than she minds like that than that. She minds seeing getting people, seeing people, getting people, seeing people, getting people, seeing getting paps seeing people, getting people, seeing on, getting paps seeing people, getting people, seeing on, youjetting paps seeing people, getting people, seeing on, you know . Paps seeing people, getting people, seeing on, you know . Well, rps seeing people, getting people, seeing on, you know . Well, hes clothes on, you know . Well, hes i you know, i think i can see, you know, i think its something, something similar happened to catherine, didnt ago. Didnt it, years ago. Ago she was in years ago when she was in france. That caused a big france. And that caused a big hoo course there was hoo ha. Of course there was someone with a massively long lens somewhere. I can lens somewhere. And i can understand you dont understand that you dont want your holiday, but your private holiday, but. But your private holiday, but. But you think maybe its more of a networking thing . Its definitely a i think its definitely a network thing because very network thing because its very important to important because she has to step person to another step from one person to another and dont really and people dont really hang around. Them and then around. She uses them and then she on. I dont want to be she moves on. I dont want to be horrible, but she just a horrible, but she just has a very unfortunate of behaving very unfortunate way of behaving towards everyone. Course, i mean, and of course, i mean, the elephant in the that weve elephant in the room that weve actually addressed yet is if actually not addressed yet is if youre going to keep banging on to about the climate, maybe to us about the climate, maybe dont jet again dont take a private jet again somewhere. Thats right. Theyve been jets been on more private jets and ive these to ive had hot dinners. These to remarkable, isnt it . Yes. Well they went when they had on a private had you ever been on a private jet . Went. No, never. No. Jet . They went. No, never. No. Im that. Im not like that. No, pretentious. No, not pretentious. No, not pretentious. Im flashy. Like that. Im not flashy. Like that. Fair enough. Im not flashy. Like that. Fairangela,. Thank you very angela, look, thank you very much. Woke is bad for business. Apparently theyre bringing back sexiness theyve had enough of plus size models and trans models. Apparently they decided models. Apparently they decided to just market to people who frankly might actually buy that stuff. Its radical, isnt it . Patrick christys gb News Business news. Sunday mornings from 930 on gb news. News. Yes, well , welcome back, yes, well, welcome back, everybody. Now victorias secret. The brand is going back to its roots and dropping its feminist and woke makeover ever after. Shock, horror , a fall in after. Shock, horror, a fall in sales so gb news viewers can see what the catwalks used to look like back. There we go. Thats wherever that is. Dont think im allowed to say much, am i really there as an engaged man now . In 2018, the company rebranded and replaced the usual people for a more diverse range of body types. Okay, so a wide of body types. Okay, so a wide range of body types that are now joining me now is nelly london, who is a content creator, and nelly , thank you very much for nelly, thank you very much for joining me. What do you think joining me. What do you think about this idea then, that victorias secrets are supposedly as a result of commercial pressure really having to revert back to maybe marketing it at their core audience . I think it makes sense audience . I think it makes sense that people werent receptive to them trying to move into the sort of more accepting space when they spent years. I mean , the foundations of i mean, the foundations of them as a brand is very exclusive. They actively we only showed one singular body type. I mean, look at their campaigns, their runway shows. Its one body type. So when they try and move into a more diverse space, theyre not really received very well because for years they made such a damaging impact on an entire generation with the message that they had. And i just think for so many of us, its too little, too late. Okay. Okay. So you do think that they werent well received and not because people saw a more diverse body types and maybe themselves couldnt relate to that or its not because they went woke and then they went broke. Its because there was a kind of historic trauma element of for years theyd been pushing a certain body type on women that was maybe deemed unrealistic or quite dangerous. Unrealistic or quite dangerous. I mean, i think showing human arms of all different types is ant woke. I think its important and i think thats what brands should be doing. And i think just in this scenario, when they did spend so long actively excluding those types of people and those types of bodies now when they tried to move into it, they mean they moved into inclusivity, albeit by cultural force. Maybe not because they really thought that was the right thing to do. Now that they have, people kind of see through it and realise they might have just done it for financial gain and they dont actually see the importance in making their brand a truly diverse brand. Do you think do you think people could see through arguably wasnt ever arguably maybe it wasnt ever really financial really for financial gain . Its certainly not turned out like that. Maybe turned out as that. Its maybe turned out as like virtue signalling like a virtue signalling attempt. Ish attempt. Weve seen similar ish things light and nike, things with bud light and nike, although involved the same although that involved the same person it . Person actually, didnt it . I think where it think dylan mulvaney, where it was perhaps seen as a way to signal that everythings okay. We love all sorts of people. Were a nice brand as opposed to actually having anything to do with the individuals that they were now using to represent and maybe that maybe people saw through that potentially see. But like i said , being but like i said, being diverse and having diversity in all forms of media is so important. And its absolutely the way fonnard. And its what brands should be striving for. But a brand that was as pivotal as victor gao secret was in the generation where they were so influential and the damage that they caused to, like i said, an entire generation with active showing one singular body type and nothing else. Now that they and nothing else. Now that they are moving into that space, it just seems a bit shallow potentially. Okay. No i understand that nelly. Im okay. No i understand that nelly. Im being okay. No i understand that nelly. Im being told that we nelly. Im being told that we have some footage of some promotional stuff that youve done. I promotional stuff that youve done. I believe , which i hope done. I believe, which i hope that youre all right for to us use, because apparently its happening now. So there we go. So me through it. So this talk me through it. Whats whats whats whats whats now then this whats happening now then this was as part of a campaign that i created actually last month. Its on my instagram. Theres a video to go with it, too. And its just kind of amplifying the fact that i grew up being told by victorias secret that there was one singular body type that was one singular body type that was acceptable. And actually was acceptable. And actually thats just not the case. And 99 of the population dont look like victorias secret models. But at the time, 99 of the media only showed a victorias secret model. And that extreme thin body, which although be it a beautiful body, is not realistic or representative of the population. The population. Okay . And you know, im just going to play devils advocate here now, which is that, you know, if you were running a company, i suppose you might want to put the most what would you say unrealistic or or the most kind of how do i phrase this now . Most exemplar kind of example of humanity like you would with any product . Their product is the way the human form looks in their attire, right . So if form looks in their attire, right . So if you form looks in their attire, right . So if you were form looks in their attire, right . So if you were marketing anything , would right . So if you were marketing anything, would you try to pick the most premium example of that or what society tells you is the most premium example of that, le, do you think theres i. E, do you think theres anything inherently evil about it, do you think it was just business . I mean, i cant say im not part of the company, but if i did run a company, i know that i would put inclusivity at the absolute forefront to let everyone know whether you look like a victorias secret model or not, that they will welcome. And my product was inclusive to everyone. Everyone. Okay, really interesting. Look, ive really enjoyed chatting to you. Thank you very, very much for coming on. Its been great to have you on the show and good luck with everything going fonnard as well. Nelly london, well. That is nelly london, whos content creator. Just whos a content creator. Just discussing victorias discussing that, victorias secret well, secret are apparently, well, rowing back, really, arent they, doing they, on what they were doing before, to try to have before, which was to try to have a more diverse range of models. Patrick right . To. Patrick right . Well, rishi sunak was in israel earlier today. He said that he wants israel to win. He said that israels going to have our full support. Now hes in saudi arabia on the latest stage of his trip to the middle east. Sunak met israeli Prime Minister benjamin morning sunak met israeli Prime Minister bethe 1in morning sunak met israeli Prime Minister bethe united morning sunak met israeli Prime Minister bethe United States morning sunak met israeli Prime Minister bethe United States told morning sunak met israeli Prime Minister bethe United States told allrning sunak met israeli Prime Minister bethe United States told all of1g as the United States told all of its to leave lebanon. Its citizens to leave lebanon. Sunak emphasised that it was important that the conflict between israel and hamas didnt escalate into the wider middle eastern region. Eastern region. Hamas has perpetrated an absolutely barbaric act of terrorism and im sure many people will have seen , seen seen people will have seen, seen seen the videos. They are horrific. They chill. You they certainly have done that to me. And have done that to me. And everyone can see that they represent pure evil. And its right that israel exercises its right that israel exercises its right to self defence force. It has not just the right to protect its citizens, the duty to protect its citizens and ensure that something this ensure that Something Like this can never happen again. Its important the conflict important that the conflict doesnt escalate regionally. Thats to as thats why im talking to as many as i across the many people as i can across the region. Ive already done that region. Ive already done that and able to more and ill be able to see more people person this trip. People in person on this trip. No one wants to see this conflict escalate and indeed the uk various military uk has sent various military assets into the mediterranean to prevent regional escalation. So some of our surveillance aircraft, for example, are ensuring that shipments ensuring that arms shipments dont way to people dont find their way to people like hezbollah. Like hezbollah. Well, okay, lets cross now to tel aviv and speak to our reporter, Charlie Peters. Charlie thank you very much. So what is the very latest, then, where you are . Weve still no Ground Invasion. An urgent plea for hostages to be released. Rishi sunak saying he wants rishi sunak saying that he wants israel win its got israel to win and its got britains support. Whats britains full support. Whats happening . Happening . Yes, a lot of urgent moving parts on the diplomatic front today. But the talk of israel right now is comments released by the defence minister, yoav galant, in the last hour where he reportedly told troops that gathering on that border with gaza that right now, you see gaza that right now, you see gaza from afar, but soon you will see it from the inside. And will see it from the inside. And this is, i think the clearest remark by any israeli official or soldier about their upcoming plans for that likely Ground Invasion. It has, of course , invasion. It has, of course, been muted for well over a week now after the atrocities of october. The seventh. Weve also heard from a general speaking to other troops who are gathering on that convoy in the south where armour and over 100,000 troops have gathered saying that the come for manoeuvre the time to come for manoeuvre in inside gaza was soon. But in the north there have been over 30 missiles fired from lebanon today. Thats a record since this conflict started. A very significant number of them coming through. Hamas claiming responsibility for some of those rockets. 11 in the last hour intercepted some of them by the iron dome defence system. And that comes at a time as regional tensions are extremely high, in particular with regards to iranian proxies such as hezbollah in southern lebanon. Rishi sunak we heard today about him saying that Maritime Patrol aircraft from the raf are keeping an eye on ensuring that shipments of arms cannot reach groups like hezbollah. But iran has complete control of that territory from tehran all the way into lebanon, known as the shia crescent through iraq and syria. And we have seen troubling activity by the Islamic Revolution guard corps, its units of operating freely to sustain and shape a potential violence or insurrection there. And there are also really disturbing reports about missile attacks on american troops in syria today. Yesterday they the us confirmed that it had to medically evacuate two of its troops after traumatic brain injuries were endured in one of its bases where a suicide drone attack occurred. If a us soldier attack occurred. If a us soldier is killed in this conflict and there is a realistic possibility that severe casualties could take place amid these bombardments and drone strikes, this conflict will escalate to another level. So extremely concerning situation here and more news about that potential Ground Invasion in the south. Okay, charlie, thank you very much. Charlie peters from tel aviv. I want to drag it back to our shores here now, though, and talk about the labour partys conference in liverpool. We all remember we . Was remember that, dont we . I was there, course, labour mps, there, of course, labour mps, they over they were just falling over themselves that the themselves to claim that the scourge anti semitism has themselves to claim that the scourpurgediti semitism has themselves to claim that the scourpurged outsemitism has themselves to claim that the scourpurged out ofnitism has themselves to claim that the scourpurged out of them has themselves to claim that the scourpurged out of the party; themselves to claim that the scourpurged out of the party one been purged out of the party one after the other. They lined up and said that we all and they said to me that we all stand with israel. The absolutely the old ghost of Jeremy Corbyn gone. And Jeremy Corbyn has gone. And those fruity people outside parliament the parliament waving the palestinian flag and saying some rather interesting things about zionism. Et cetera. They no zionism. Et cetera. They no longer represent the labour longer represent the labour party. But as events last week party. But as events last week have shown, the cause of palestinian solidarity is still a pressing issue in starmers party. As former labour leader Jeremy Corbyn addressed a rally and that was outside downing street. But more importantly, weve had some other developments. Okay, so labour mps were very quick to jump on these unverified claims that the blast at the gaza hospital was an israeli strike. Its the usual suspects, obviously. Weve got John Mcdonnell and zarah sultana. Shes tweeting. More than people have been killed than 500 people have been killed after israeli airstrike. After an israeli airstrike. Political leaders of all parties, including my own, must call for an urgent ceasefire and a more local keir starmer a more local level. Keir starmer is now at a right to a load of labour councillors because they have criticised him. In fact, some have resigned over his stance on israel, which is that they stand with israel and call for a two state solution. So im asking can the Jewish Community actually trust the labour party . Actually trust the labour party . With me now is Naomi Wimborne idrissi, a spokesperson for jewish voice for labour. Thank you very much. Great to have you on the show. Nice to meet you. Just ask it really, i suppose. Do think the jewish do you think the Jewish Community labour . Community can trust labour . Well, i joined the labour party after a long pause in 2015 because i, like many jews with my political perspective , were my political perspective, were very encouraged by the appearance at the leadership of the labour party. If somebody who shared our values, that is to do with equality and justice, to do with equality and justice, to do with fairness, to do with support Public Services , as support for Public Services, as defending nhs , rights for defending the nhs, rights for people at work and peace on the International Stage and ethical foreign foreign policy. We were very keen on those values when Jeremy Corbyn was in the leadership , we found that all leadership, we found that all these subjects were open for discussion and debate. There was discussion and debate. There was free and fair openness and respect for each others views and a lot of really interesting ideas were developed. While jeremy was leader. And as jews, we felt very welcome under Jeremy Corbyn, under Jeremy Corbyn. That grew out absolutely. That grew out absolutely. That grew out absolutely. Threw out. Absolutely. Threw out. Yes the hostility that some of us faced came from people who were hostile to corbyn. And right now this is not well known when Jeremy Corbyn was ousted and having failed in the 2019 election, after a very creditable performance in the 2017 election, because the ideas that he put fonnard that we shared won the confidence of a huge number of voters. As you will remember, biggest increase in an opposition parties vote since 1940. Can i ask, how has how has the wider Jewish Community responded to your views . Because there is a perception that that there is a perception that that there is a lot of anti israeli and potentially with it anti semitic feeling from people of that certain wing of the labour party . Okay. Well, im going to take okay. Well, im going to take a little step back and just point out that since corbyns demise and since the leadership of keir starmer, jews have actually faced jews with my sort of views have faced a kind of a purge. So at least 60 people going right through from the corbyn days when the bureaucracy that sympathises with starmer was in control and now under starmer we have been either investigated or suspended or actually expelled. In my case and a dozen others for other accusations related to anti semitic ism. People may find this strange because and the reason thats happening is because the idea that to keep jews safe, you have to have a sort of unfettered pro israel only stance in International Political affairs. I think. Is it is it not, is i think. Is it is it not, is it not that actually, you know, support calling hamas friends is no, im sorry. I dont want to see. Youre going to turn it back on to allegations that were made against jeremy. All of which does happen. But diplomats always friends, always call one another friends, whether mean terrorists. Whether they mean terrorists. But its all right for our leaders to go call people leaders to go and call people like the saudi leadership, friends. Thats fine. Apparently so. Look you know. No, im sorry. Im just saying you can understand. Thats people as though thats why people felt as though there antisemitism in the there were antisemitism in the labour group of labour party that the group of people who have now gone around, you potentially beheading you know, potentially beheading babies in israel. Careful, because careful, patrick, because thatis careful, patrick, because that is one of many stories that has come from the israeli has come out from the israeli side, doubtful. Side, which is doubtful. You know, cant accept everything that. So you you genuinely dont think that babies were killed or beheaded by hamas . Beheaded by hamas . I have no idea. Patrick. How would i know . How would you know . I know that the israelis habitually do lie about these things, are we talking things, but why are we talking about we were supposed about israel . We were supposed to talking keeping to be talking about keeping jewish to be talking about keeping jewlsh to be talking about keeping jewi just want i think its i just want i think its important for people to get a bit of context about you bit of context about where you kind of stand on certain things. Right . Genuinely not right . So you genuinely do not believe i mean, would believe what that i mean, would you Hamas Terrorists . You call Hamas Terrorists . Im not going to talk lets you call Hamas Terrorists . Talkiot going to talk lets you call Hamas Terrorists . Talk about ng to talk lets you call Hamas Terrorists . Talk about that. Talk lets you call Hamas Terrorists . Talk about that. Talk talk not talk about that. Lets talk about keeping your. Are still member . Are you still a member . Are you still a member . But youre doing what you no, but youre doing what you do when palestinian be do when palestinian to be honest, im not really trying to do anything. Youre doing a lot i think youre doing a lot yourself. Im genuinely just asking you whether the asking you whether or not the Jewish Community should be safe or safe labour or feel safe in the labour party. I think its a really absolutely. I think youre safe in the labour party. Yeah. But if labour party safe now. If the labour party safe now. But if they the labour but if they have, the labour Party Supports views, party still supports views, which is why asking which is why im asking these questions of not questions along the lines of not calling Hamas Terrorists, maybe even view is even calling a view that is a way an issue. Way of approaching an issue. Had terrible we have had terrible suffering israel and suffering in israel and palestine over the nearly a palestine over the last nearly a fortnight now. All civilian fortnight now. All civilian deaths horrendous, whoever deaths are horrendous, whoever they are. There are lot of they are. There are a lot of people in the labour party who feel like you do. Yeah, yes, of course. There are lots. And do you think thats why there these resignations . There are these resignations . They going to thats why they are going to be demonstrations on at the weekend. And thats thats my fine. And so thats thats my point you think that point then. So do you think that lots them are jewish . Lots of them are jewish . Excuse me, im going after can i just say after this discussion you, im going discussion with you, im going straight demonstration straight to a demonstration called of young jews called by a group of young jews who want to express their horror at suffering, what at the ongoing suffering, what they ethnic cleansing of they see as ethnic cleansing of palestinians and what happened on october the seventh is horrendous and abhorrent. It on october the seventh is horrendous and abhorrent. It is. And im not to going deny that. But you are kind of denying it, though, arent you . No. Ive said you are kind of denying. No but you are kind of. But you are denying what people are saying is happening. Context that greater context and that palestinians have been suffering murders dispossession , action. And you know what . Im going to ask now. So that does that justify why the beheading of babies . Of course it doesnt. But does the beheading of what does the beheading of babies justify sort which babies justify the sort which probably anyway . Probably didnt happen anyway . Because youre again, youre assuming is not assuming something that is not proven, so. Proven, that isnt so. Are justify genuinely on you are justify genuinely on national television. Yes, completely. Youre going youre completely. Youre going youre going saying it going as far as saying it probably happen. Probably didnt happen. No, not. Im saying no, im not. Im saying its not right. Not proven right. You did just say its probably proven. Did say its not no, you did say its not proven right. It may not have happened. We do not know whether it if it did happen. It happened. If it did happen. And anyway, the landing and anyway, the moon landing happen. Slaughter of know, happen. The slaughter of know, the slaughter of 1700 israelis on october the seventh is abhorrent and it should never have happened. And it. But does have happened. And it. But does it justify the flattening of the entirety of gaza, the killing now of up to 3000 palestinians is the drive to force them out of the territory which they inhabit because most of them are refugees anyway, from the last two decades of dispossession from their land. So all im asking for is, well, two things, really. One is, please dont assume that taking a particular stance on israel makes jews in this country safer , because in this country safer, because in fact, whats happening at the moment is generating a lot of divisiveness and fear among jews and hatred and fear among muslims. To who do you think demonised average jewish person on the street will take comfort from you, saying that your views , which are highly sceptical about a massacre of jewish babies , are prevalent in the babies, are prevalent in the labour party . I really feel that youre not taking me seriously here in this discussion. You incredibly seriously because im trying to talk about the reality in the middle east and what that means for jews in this country and also the dynamic at the moment in the labour party and the Labour Party Leadership moment Party Leadership at the moment seems by taking seems to believe that by taking a certain stance on israel, it can bring. Can bring. Would you want to feel safe . Would you want to feel safe . What would you okay, so right, what would you want keir starmer to have as his stance on this now then i think he should abhor the deaths of all civilians, jewish and palestinian. I think he should insist on observing International Law, which israel has never done throughout its occupation of the west bank, where, by the way, 60 people have been killed this year by Israeli Settlers and idf. They matter too , dont idf. They matter too, dont they . Also, the 250 palestinians who were killed in the west bank before october the 7th, nothing to do with hamas, nothing to do with retaliation against that appalling attack. He should be calling for an immediate ceasefire. He should be calling for meaning full political intervention from the west, which has influenced nobody else has influence over israel, only the american government. And to some extent european governments to say you have to end the occupation of the west bank, you have to end the siege on gaza, and you have to create a situation where jews and palestinians who are christian as well as muslim, by the way, can live in peace and security. Can live in peace and security. If the labour party had that position in which i think it would have if corbyn was still in the leadership, but it doesnt have at the moment, then i think jews in this country could feel safe, far more confident in their relations with. I mean, it is. I mean, it is an anecdotal fact, i think it is a pretty fact, but i think it is a pretty reasonable thing for me to say that majority of jews that the vast majority of jews do safer under keir do feel safer under Keir Starmers current policy than they starmers current policy than the well, it be, but they did well, it may be, but they did under Jeremy Corbyn. Theres a huge misconception going around that came that until Jeremy Corbyn came along, labour along, all jews voted labour about along, all jews voted labour abocertainly not. Yeah, 15 of certainly not. Yeah, 15 of jews roughly voted labour when it had a jewish leader. Do you think a result of what youve think as a result of what youve come on television is said today that more , more less jews are that more, more or less jews are to come out and vote for to going come out and vote for labour heard what youve. Labour having heard what youve. Very critical of well, i am very critical of the leadership the moment at the leadership at the moment at and think as wise jewish, and i think as wise jewish, isnt it . Isnt she . Isnt she . Isnt she . See, that shouldnt have anything do with it. Should anything to do with it. Should it. Would imagine it but you would imagine it would you would would influence that. You would imagine would imagine it would, it would probably his. Probably influence his. Its influencing in that case its influencing him a very unfortunate him in a very unfortunate way because using his because if he is using his wifes connection with israel as a way of helping him decide what his are hes his policies are and hes opposed his connections opposed to using his connections with hamas as opposed to thinking strategically as a political leader should and say, okay, Jeremy Corbyn was thinking strategically when he absolutely studied closer with an islamist terror group. Jeremy was looking terror group. Jeremy was looking at the situation as it has unfolded over the last seven decades as he was identify tying the root causes which are and International Institutions agree with this the illegal occupation. Can i just ask you which keir starmer is refusing to criticise . So thats why i think there may be many jews who look at keir starmer and say big friend of israel, im going to vote for him. I think they would be misguided if thats the kind of leader they want, then they should for him. Absolutely should vote for him. Absolutely genuinely would you would you genuinely would you rather live under hamas or in israel . Thats such a very foolish question, patrick. Im its really you answer it. Well, of course, i wouldnt want to live. Im not an islamist fundamentalist, am i . Okay. But its not. Do you think that by going in and flattening the entirety of gaza, driving the entirety of gaza, driving the entire population into the desert, which is what is to going happen now, that that will solve the problem . Of course it wont. There will always be palestinian resistance. Okay . Palestinian resistance. Okay . There always be. And it there will always be. And it takes a form from last saturday, which was hateful. Usually it takes demonstration. Takes the form of demonstration. These shot these demonstrators were shot dead at border of gaza, as dead at the border of gaza, as happened last summer, or it takes the form of people wanting to boycott israel, which is peaceful and entirely legitimate, and being told that that should be illegal because its anti semitic. It is not anti semitic to try and seek peace, justice and equality for everybody in the middle east. Thats what we want. Keir starmer to do. If he does it, i would say jews and everybody should support him until he does. Well i must does. Im dubious. Well i must say found this fascinating. Say i found this fascinating. I appreciate you coming on. I appreciate that kind of robust discussion. Been discussion. Its been interesting on the interesting to have you on the show. Very, very much. Show. Thank you very, very much. And the demonstration. And enjoy the demonstration. Youre gathering youre going to or the gathering that to there you that youre going to there you go. Okay. Right. Well, go. Yes. Okay. All right. Well, there go. So, Naomi Wimborne, there we go. So, Naomi Wimborne, idrissi. It was a spokesperson for jewish voice for labour. Right. | for jewish voice for labour. Right. I do have some right. Okay so i do have some breaking news for you. Yes, i do. Right there is more misery on the way for train passengers, grief members of the rmt union have voted to continue taking strike action for the next six months their long running months in their long running dispute and dispute over pay, jobs and conditions. The industrial conditions. The industrial action been going on since action has been going on since june 2022. Okay now in other news, more than 2000 artists, actors and musicians, including oscar winner Tilda Swinton and steve coogan, have signed a letter condemning israels bombing of gaza. Nothing wrong bombing of gaza. Nothing wrong with that. Of course, the only person is. The only problem is even that they didnt mention hamass terror attacks. Double standards. Anybody Patrick Christys here news, that i knew had dbs zinko weeknights from. Six weeknights from. Six well, welcome back. Youre watching or listening to me Patrick Christys on gb news now eco warriors Just Stop Oil have announced a new series of protests and the police have prepared for those protests by pre emptively arresting the co founders. So the met police co founders. So the met police said that the raids, dawn raids were aimed at preventing serious disruption ahead of more climate protests. I believe we can take protests. I believe we can take a quick look now at this conversation between Just Stop Oil and the police. When roger hallam indigo rumbelow were hallam and indigo rumbelow were arrested. And you taking that, arrested. And you taking that, even though its to do with xr, you said it yourself. You said it yourself. Whats that . You said this got a load of xr stuff in. Youre taking it even though its to do with xr. What right. Its to do with xr. What right. Okay. What right. Okay. What right. Okay. Youre this is an investigation to Just Stop Oil. Yeah. We havent read it all. Ive read it all. No, it needs to be investigated. Doesnt it. So theres obviously reference to sort of things in here that may be relevant. So then it needs to be investigated and sees and investigated. It can be then returned to you if it bears no relevance to the investigation. But its im investigation. But its im cunous investigation. But its im curious because i heard you say it was to do with xr and that was the first line that was on there. Right. Its about a five page document there. Also very page document there. Also very closely linked. Jso is sort of formed. So youre standing in the way again. Really . Excuse me. So i also were were allowed to seize items that we think are in relation to that we think are in relation to that offence. So if we think thats in relation to the conspiracy, were entitled to seize it. If its not a relevant to the offence, then it will just be returned like any other. Just be returned like any other. Right. Okay. So that was the arrest that im joined now by Just Stop Oil spokesperson its mitch rose. Mitch thank you very much. Great to have you on the show. So what do you make of these pre emptive arrests then . These pre emptive arrests then . Do you think its fair enough, the police getting in the way and stopping you guys wreaking misery peoples lives . Well misery on peoples lives . Well i think its just indicative of the government being really scared, really , to be honest. Scared, really, to be honest. Theyre scared of us, arent we . Um, any person on the phone or an echo . Actually. Or an echo . Actually. Right. Okay. Do you think. Do you think they are scared . I you think they are scared . I mean, ive just got a clip here earlier on, you guys, you want to Just Stop Oil. And fortunately, you couldnt just stop a coach. Stop a coach. Okay. Sorry. Okay. Sorry. I could hear an echo earlier. So that stopped me saying what i wanted to say. What i was saying was relation to the raids on was in relation to the raids on roger indigo , um, was that roger and indigo, um, was that the government are scared about us. There isnt a Political Party now that anybody who wants to Just Stop Oil, which is obviously our demand can vote for because the government and the opposition. Are turning the opposition. Are you turning on in effect, just stop on that . So in effect, Just Stop Oil the opposition now oil are the only opposition now really , arent we . I noticed really, arent we . I noticed youre showing pictures of what happened today. Just stop oil, stand in solidarity with, um, Asylum Seekers and refugees. Asylum seekers and refugees. Its absolutely appalling that the government are wanting to use prison ships to house people who are legitimately here trying to seek refuge, trying to seek somewhere safe to live, trying to seek food to feed their children and theyre sticking them on these disgusting prison ships. Have you have you seen the bibby stockholm patrick, do you know what it. Ive seen it actually, i have seen it. Weve actually been on it a channel. Our home it as a channel. Our Home Security editor went on have security editor went on it. Have you okay. And have you heard that the whistleblower . Whistleblower . No, its interesting. I just want to. No, no, its all right, mitch. Mitch, have you been on it . Have i been on it . Yeah. No, i havent been on it. But but, but, you know. But you know , its but you know, its a disgusting prison ship that is unfit for human habitation. And people who think that its fine, whove been on it, theyre wrong. Right. But how would you know that . Because youve not on that . Because youve not been on it, have you . It, have you . Have to look at the you only have to look at the thing, patrick. Its a prison ship. It looks. Its not, though, is it . Its not, though, is it . Its not, though, is it . Its objectively not a prison ship. Call it a prison ship. You can call it a prison ship. You can call it a prison ship. It a luxury ship. You could call it a luxury cruiser. I mean, you are cruiser. I mean, you know, are you going let me get a word in . So i havent been on it, but a spokesperson for Dorset Council has been on it. And they say, quote, its a floating grenfell. I mean, that just grenfell. I mean, thatjust basically sums everything basically sums up everything you need isnt it . Need to know. Patrick isnt it . Okay obviously theres right. Okay obviously theres no skin in the game there whatsoever from people who wouldnt want Something Like that their but that landed on their area. But yes, okay, fair enough. So Just Stop Oil then. You think they were they were wrong, obviously, to pre emptively arrest the likes roger hallam and indigo likes of roger hallam and indigo rumbelow, despite the idea that for many people, for many, for many people, that is the kind of intelligence policing that intelligence led policing that they would like. Because now youre less likely to have an the words intelligence and policing dont really go together very well, do they . The police are running scared. Theyre pre emptively arresting people of mitch. Arresting people of mitch. What what are they scared . What what are they scared . No, seriously, can i just ask, what are the police scared of . Because when i see Just Stop Oil, i often see a lot of incredibly hysterical weirdos. Ill tell you what, theyre scared of, patrick. Theyre scared of, patrick. Theyre scared that because our colleagues in the netherlands blocked a road, the a12 for 28 consecutive days. And now, now consecutive days. And now, now the netherlands, the netherlands government are doing a u turn and they are taking away oil subsidies. So you know, it works. Thats going out on the street and so thats what were going to be doing. Were continue doing that as of 29th of october. Well be back out on the streets because thats what people power does. And i would i would tell any of your viewers who join us on the streets at the end of october, beginning of november, go to Just Stop Oil. Org now come on. A non violence training and get out on the streets with us. So people have had enough. Patrick, were not putting up with prison ships on our watch. No way, no how. Were slipping towards concentrate. Slipping towards concentrate. Shapps coast of the uk. Shapps off the coast of the uk. Were not having were not were not having that. Were not to back and watch. To going sit back and watch. Not see, this is the were not see, this is the this i we respect this is where i think we respect you the crowd, right . You you lose the crowd, right . You go from saying, im a bit worried the climate to, worried about the climate to, you know, were all going to boil own sweat to heres boil in our own sweat to heres a ship that actually other people on perfectly people have lived on perfectly happily people happily abroad. And many people would equivalent would regard as being equivalent to hotel. Right. To a three star hotel. Right. And you now say were now you say were now you now say were on the brink of concentration camps off the coast of the uk. But its absolute history area, isnt it . Its complete hysteria. Yeah. Well i think if were talking about, um, lets just take this to the Bigger Picture , okay . Lets just join up. Whats happening here . So these Asylum Seekers and refugees, which is why youve called me on here to talk about that action today. Theres a theres stuff going on in the world at the moment. That means that people are being displaced their homes. As i displaced from their homes. As i said seeking said earlier, theyre seeking for seeking for for food, theyre seeking for protection very basic for food, theyre seeking for protecof1 very basic for food, theyre seeking for protecof a very basic for food, theyre seeking for protecof a lot very basic for food, theyre seeking for protecof a lot of, very basic for food, theyre seeking for protecof a lot of, lotery basic for food, theyre seeking for protec of a lot of, lot of basic for food, theyre seeking for protec of a lot of, lot of thesic needs of a lot of, lot of the time they are seeking they are seeking refuge from a certain type of ideological government. Right. Its meeting me is thats what happening now. Its thats what happening now. Its not ive just had enough, actually, mitch thank you very much. Mitch rose by by mitch rose just stop. Oil spokesperson right. So theres loads right. Okay. So theres loads more still to come with you now at the end of the show, i find out why steve coogan has been accused of talking drivel after he gave his views on the war in the middle east. But right now, a little bit later than planned, apologies, the headlines apologies, it is the headlines with. Aaron with. Aaron it is 5 36 am. Armstrong in the newsroom. Rishi sunak in saudi arabia for talks with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman as his shuttle diplomacy , the as his shuttle diplomacy, the middle east continues. Earlier in jerusalem, the Prime Minister told his israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu , he welcomed Benjamin Netanyahu, he welcomed the decision to allow humanitarian aid into gaza from egypt and said the uk stood in solidarity with israel. Mr netanyahu thanked him for visiting the country, calling it a strong statement of support in a strong statement of support in a time of darkness , asylum a time of darkness, Asylum Seekers have returned to the bibby stockholm in portland, despite activists attempting to prevent it from happening. It just stop. Oil protesters obstructed a coach carrying migrants holding banners reading no prison ships and demand humanity. All 39 people were humanity. All 39 people were removed from the barge in august after legionella bacteria were discovered and more than 400 homes have been asked to evacuate. In the scottish town evacuate. In the scottish town of brecon in preparation for the arrival of storm babett. A red arrival of storm babett. A red weather warning has been issued with heavy rain and winds stronger than 70 miles an hour. Forecast extensive flooding and a risk to life has been predicted. You you get more on predicted. You you get more on all of those stories on our website. Gbnews. Com. Website. Gb news. Com. Well, website. Gbnews. Com. Well, actors including steve coogan and oscar winner Tilda Swinton have been criticised after they condemned israels military action in gaza. But military action in gaza. But they didnt mention hamas terror attacks. More than 2000 artists, actors and musicians signed a letter from a Group Calling itself artists for palestine uk. The letter , amongst other the letter, amongst other things, said , our governments things, said, our governments are not only tolerating war crimes, but they are aiding and abetting them. We support the Global Movement against the destruction of gaza and the mass displacement of palestinian displacement of the Palestinian People. We demand our people. We demand that our governments and their military and Political Support for israels actions. Right. Well joining me now is gb news presenter darren grimes. Darren, thank you very, very much. What do you reckon to these lovely celebrities then . Mean, celebrities then . I mean, i suppose they think that theyre celebrities then . I mean, i suppo good,y think that theyre celebrities then . I mean, i suppo good, dontk that theyre celebrities then . I mean, i suppo good, dont theyt theyre celebrities then . I mean, i suppo good, dont they . Theyre doing good, dont they . I mean, patrick, youre making a habit of making this show today nuttier than a fruitcake, arent you . Because, mean, ive just because, i mean, ive just listened to what youve just had on, and its as loony as what this letter write, because as any reasonable person at home, i think , understands that the think, understands that the reason for the loss of innocent lives stems directly from the malicious intent thats actually been harboured by by hamas, by islamic jihad, especially in relation to that hospital that we just saw. And hezbollah in the north, all of these things arent israel, right . Theyre the masterminds behind the deadly cruelty that we see. The heightened among civilians, the secret bombs in schools and things like this. And of course , things like this. And of course, behind hospitals, we saw that in glaring proximity. We come into glaring proximity. We come into view on our television screens. Now, all of this , it strikes me, now, all of this, it strikes me, is just an absolute eagerness, a desperation , in fact, to desperation, in fact, to actually vilify israel at any given opportune city. Whilst they, of course, as you rightly say, turn a blind eye to hamas, their reign of terror and exposing , i think, their own. If exposing, i think, their own. If you ask me, patrick, their own deep seated prejudices here because it is never anyones fault other than israels. Yeah. I mean , i did have yeah. I mean, i did have a member of the Jewish Community from tel aviv on a little bit earlier on in the show who was very, very forthright in his beliefs that at the core of this is anti semitism. No doubt the celebrities and anybody who has signed this letter will deny that. Signed this letter will deny that. Absolutely. But that was that. Absolutely. But that was what that jewish individual said to me. Do you what that jewish individual said to me. Do you think that maybe they just dont quite understand they just dont quite understand the wider context of whats going on in the middle east . Do you think that maybe they live in a little bit of an echo chamber, a kind of luvvie echo chamber, a kind of luvvie echo chamber where supporting palestine little more palestine is very little more than a fashion statement . You can absolutely say oh, you can absolutely say that again. I mean, all of these liberal luvvies think that by posting something on their instagram feeds that theyre doing great service. Doing the world a great service. And arent they good israel palestine is ended. Palestine conflict is ended. Patrick thats it. But all i palestine conflict is ended. Patrick thats it. But all i can say if im charitable, is that they must be of the view that they must be of the view that they still living in the realm of make believe here because you know, theyre no longer on the silver screen, but theyre still talking about fantasies that reject at the whats actually going on. And refusing to condemn the barbaric acts of hamas. Mean lets not forget what we just saw at this time last week. It wasnt last last week. It wasnt last weekend, but the weekend before that, where 1400 people were killed. Right this that act, that one single day counts as the bloodiest in israels history. See . Right. That history. See . Right. That represents the greatest loss of jewish life since the holocaust. Jewish life since the holocaust. Yet some liberal lobby in hollywood could live in a very comfortable life, cant have sympathy for someone in israel whose life is dictated to patrick by constant rocket fire by three fronts of their nation being under constant attack , being under constant attack, mainly entirely down to the fact that they are jews. Thats what that they are jews. Thats what this is. So if you cant call that out, then you are not the liberal progressive that you think you are. I think it is remarkable that , look, you know, on any kind of bog standard average day of the week could week previously, i could understand there be understand that there would be massive concern for palestine, for the people of gaza and taking a political opinion on thatis taking a political opinion on that is one thing. But in the immediate aftermath of a group of storming across a of terrorists storming across a border and slitting babies throats and burning them and raping and taking hostages to then come out on the side, not on the side of hamas, certainly not, but to not condemn hamas. I mean, just to put a note in that letter, to put a note in that letter, to put a note in that letter that says we do we stand up for the rights of the Palestinian People. We do, however , utterly condemn the however, utterly condemn the actions of hamas that wasnt in there. And i do find that slightly bizarre. But, darren, were to have to leave were going to have to leave it there, good man, there, im afraid. My good man, thank very much for making thank you very much for making the time for us. You are watching or listening to me . Patrick christys on gb news. Lets talk about the story thats got so many of you emailing me this afternoon. Its a brilliant footage of the coach driver and some Just Stop Oil activists. Well, earlier this week we oh no, are we going week we saw, oh no, are we going to that footage right now . I think going to that think maybe we are going to that footage stop so footage of Just Stop Oil. So i will run you through it in an unexpected twist that happened earlier on, you know the bibby stockholm barge. Well eventually, a couple of eventually, after a couple of months being taken off that barge due to legionella being found system, found in the water system, they managed to get some managed to try to get some Asylum Seekers back on the barge. Ah, here we go. We nearly just stopped playing the footage then for a second, we then for a second, didnt we Just Stop Oil decided to block the of Asylum Seekers. The the coach of Asylum Seekers. The coach , decided coach driver though, decided that he wasnt having any of it and ploughed on through them. So those people, instead of just getting of the way, decided getting out of the way, decided to sit down in the road and start screaming at him and saying things like, why are you trying to us . Why you trying to kill us . Why are you trying to kill us . Why are you trying i mean, you trying to kill us . I mean, you know, when you were and know, when you were younger and like parents might have like your parents might have joked you gone, you joked with you and gone, oh, you know, go and play the know, go and play on the motonnay joke. They motonnay as a joke. Yeah, they didnt mean it. Whereas just stop of course, have clearly stop oil of course, have clearly never grown up. Now that driver has something think has done something that i think most other most people would wish other people which is just, people would do, which is just, you safely steam straight you know, safely steam straight on got a job to you know, safely steam straight on hes got a job to you know, safely steam straight on hes not got a job to you know, safely steam straight on hes not getting a job to you know, safely steam straight on hes not getting held to you know, safely steam straight on hes not getting held up by do. Hes not getting held up by a load of idiot. Arctic climate tangerines , is he . Doesnt tangerines, is he . He doesnt get paid enough for this, does he . He doesnt get he . That chat. He doesnt get paid for this anyway. Paid enough for this anyway. They unsuccess they they were unsuccess awful. They have ive said now, tried have like ive said now, tried to come after coach driver to come after this coach driver for threats to kill and i await the crowdfunder for his legal fees. But in other news, earlier this week , a straw bale was seen this week, a straw bale was seen dangung this week, a straw bale was seen dangling below londons millennium bridge. Thats millennium bridge. Thats strange. Act is done in accordance with an ancient bylaw. Just accordance with an ancient bylaw. Just stop oil have got a straw bale. Look at that. No. Okay. With an ancient bylaw stating that passing river traffic has to be worn if the bridge level is lowered. So this weird law is is lowered. So this weird law is a part of many others as as its apparently illegal to be drunk in a pub. So here are some weird laws, right . Its illegal to be drunk in a pub. Laws, right . Its illegal to be drunk in a pub. Yeah. Or carry a drunk in a pub. Yeah. Or carry a plank on a pavement. I think ive got some more weird ones for you now. Handling a salmon in suspicious circumstances. In suspicious circumstances. Yeah, im just trying to picture the kind of situation that would lead up to someone being arrested for handling a salmon in suspicious circumstances. In suspicious circumstances. Entering the houses of parliament in a suit of armour. I can understand that, because that to the that probably harks back to the times if you entered the times where if you entered the houses parliament a suit houses of parliament in a suit of you were trying to, of armour, you were trying to, you take the joint you know, take over the joint and could be problems. And that could be problems. Wars have over that have been fought over that havent they . The queue . Havent they . Jumping the queue . Oh, go. I get behind oh, here we go. I can get behind this one. Jumping the queue in a tube ticket hall. Absolutely you know what . I didnt realise that was illegal, something was illegal, but its something that thought should be that i always thought should be illegal. Firing a cannon near a home, especially after 11 pm. You know, its just completely unsavoury, isnt it, to go and do a thing like that. Unsavoury, isnt it, to go and do a thing like that. One of the do a thing like that. One of the things that i would quite like do a thing like that. One of the thibe; that i would quite like do a thing like that. One of the thibe illegal, would quite like do a thing like that. One of the thibe illegal, butld quite like do a thing like that. One of the thibe illegal, but butuite like do a thing like that. One of the thibe illegal, but but isnt ike to be illegal, but but isnt kind of properly is people who fail to indicate properly at a roundabout that is something that really for want of a better phrase, grinds my gears. I would really quite like that to be illegal, but i just think these are one of the old quirks of engush are one of the old quirks of english law, arent they, that continue rear their head continue to rear their head every now and again . The being drunk a pub thing drunk in a pub thing is something think quite hard something i think is quite hard to enforce. I mean, the entire city of wetherspoons go city of wetherspoons would go out of within if out of business within a day if it be drunk in a it was illegal to be drunk in a pub, wouldnt it . Well, there we go. Shortly, im hoping go. Now very shortly, im hoping to be taking you to some information about scams , which information about scams, which is where some Asylum Seekers were going to be based. So apparently they have now managed to secure a protected status for a particular area on that site. And that in itself might make it harder to do things like redevelop for an Asylum Seeker base, which will be good news, i think, wouldnt it, for the fair people of that area who are dead against it. What do you make of that . Vaiews gbnews. Com. Im going to delve into the inbox for the final minute or so of this show. Thank you very much, everybody whos been emailing in whos getting touch by whos been getting in touch by far the hero the far and away the hero of the show has been the coach driver that were seeing before from that you were seeing before from the Just Stop Oil demonstrate. They to try they obviously attempted to try to from getting to stop that coach from getting towards bibby stockholm towards the bibby stockholm after and months after months and months and months wrangling that coach months of wrangling that coach driver the hero of day. Driver is the hero of the day. Can has on kens says can has been on kens says patrick. I would happily shake that hand and buy that bus drivers hand and buy him pint. He is doing the him a pint. He is doing the lords work. Yes. There we go. Important say well that as important to say as well that as it stands, we dont it currently stands, we dont believe anybody believe that anybody was actually injured or seriously harmed am for not one harmed in this. I am for not one second condoning people ploughing through. Ploughing straight on through. Just Oil Protesters or Just Stop Oil protesters or insulate protesters or insulate britain protesters or insulate britain protesters or insulate prisoners. They are now mostly because insulate prisoners. They are now mostljwhere because insulate prisoners. They are now mostljwhere loads because insulate prisoners. They are now mostljwhere loads of because insulate prisoners. They are now mostljwhere loads of them|use insulate prisoners. They are now mostljwhere loads of them are. Thats where loads of them are. Im not condoning that, but am im not condoning that, but i am saying that think this coach saying that i think this coach driver certainly did right driver certainly did the right thing. Im going to continue now, lynda says patrick. I actually think that just stop. Oil here were massively in the wrong. They could have put peoples lives at risk.
