STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — While Groundhog Day is usually a fun-filled morning for families gathering at the Staten Island Zoo in West Brighton, this year will be much different.
Staten Island Chuck won’t be welcoming any guests this year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. And his prediction will be overshadowed by a nor’easter that is pummeling the East Coast with significant amounts of snow.
Given all that, this year could eventually make its way onto our list of the most crummy Groundhog Day moments.
