LAPD officer wounded after reports of a possibly armed man near USC
LOS ANGELES - An exchange of gunfire near South Los Angeles left an officer injured and a gunman dead Tuesday afternoon.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call of a man armed with a rifle at a home just blocks away from the USC campus a little before 12:15 p.m.
The police activity in the area prompted officials from USC to tell people to stay away from the active crime scene.
