Mont Blanc, French for white mountain, is the second highest mountain in Europe, after the Elbrus in the Russian Caucasus. With 4,808 meters it is the highest mountain in the Alps. It is the eleventh most prominent peak in the world. Well, if you want to reach the top of Mont Blanc, you want to bring climbing equipment. But Mont Blanc is also perfect for a hiking trip. The Tour du Mont Blanc is a hiking route around the mountain that leads through France, Italy and Germany. The Tour du Mont Blanc hiking is a huge challenge that can take up to 9 days.
