Ill. Dept. of Public Health reports 2,102 new cases of COVID-19

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (KFVS) - The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,102 new cases of COVID-19, including 11 additional deaths, on Monday, April 5.
Currently, the department is reporting a total of 1,258,736 cases, including 21,384 deaths.
As of Sunday night, 1,581 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 358 patients were in the ICU and 159 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
A total of 20,686,198 tests for the virus have been conducted in the state.
