At least the Vallejo Police department would be relieved that she was found but it was almost the other way around. They were mad. Mike huskins says he hopes investigators arrested the right guy so his daughter can move on with her life now. The prime suspect in this kidnapping case again is a former San Francisco immigration attorney who was in the process of being disbarred. Sergio cantana has a closer look on Matthew Muller at 6 00. Officers have reportedly shot to death a man wanted in the disappearance of his daughter. Matthew graham was has been the focus of a manhunt in the redding area. The Sheriffs Department says police shot and killed a carjacking suspect in the area. They would not confirm if it was graham. He reported his 6monthold daughter, amber was kidnapped from her crib at his happy valley home on july 2nd. Graham was wanted as a person of interest in the case. Amber remains missing. New details in the death of a teenager shot and killed by a Santa Cruz County deputy. It happened friday at a home in boulder creek. The Sheriffs Office today identified the teen as 17yearold cyrus regado. They responded to a call of a family dispute and were confronted by him who was holding two handguns. Some might call it a case of i told you so. Neighbors and prosecutors urged a judge to send a violent sexual predator back to a State Hospital during a hearing today. Charles chrisman moved into a home in walnut creek in february. A private firm Liberty Health care, has monitored him. The terms of his release require him to wear a gps ankle bracelet and to avoid contact with teenage boys. Liberty claims chrisman violated those terms during a visit to a Community Center in concord last month. Theres no allegation that he touched anybody or actually committed a sex crime but he had certain urges. He made a contact with the young man. Unfortunately it sounds like he did exactly what we said what we feared he would do. Chrisman will remain in the State Hospital for now and his hearing will resume later this month. There are more than 600,000 frozen embryos in the united states, and a first of its kind court battle is being waged in San Francisco over five of them. They belong to a divorced couple. She and her new husband signed consent decrees at ucsf similar to this one to use her eggs and his sperm to create and freeze five embryos so they could one day start a family, but they divorced. Her exhusband is the man on the crutches, steven findlay. He now wants those embryos destroyed. She doesnt. Shes very emotional. This is her last chance to have a biological child. Reporter lees attorney is arguing she has a constitutional right to pro create and that the consent forms the couple signed were with ucsf not a binding contract between the spouses. They checked off the boxes, they were done. They were newlyweds. They had no idea they werent even thinking about divorce at that point in time. Is there anything you would like to say about the case . Reporter steven finlddlay did not comment but in court said he thought the terms in the ucsf paperwork were binding. Dr. Carl herbert is one of the nations leading infertility experts. He hopes the judge will uphold the consent forms. A journalist with ties to marin county was back in court in iran today. 39yearold Washington Post correspondent jason rezian faced the third hearing in his espionage trial. His family has been lobbying hard for his release. Rezian was arrested more than a year ago in iran with his wife and two photojournalists. The others were released. If convicted he faces up to 20 years in prison. A search has now been called off for a man from san carlos who went missing last week while hiking in monterey county. They reported 76yearold harold drake missing last wednesday after he went on a hike by himself. Rescue crews from four counties helped in the search at the state park. Searchers say they covered 100 miles of trails but they just could not find him. The Highway Patrol expects one of its officers to recover after a motorcycle accident in danville. Sky 7 hd was over interstate 680 just after the officer was hurt just after 9 00 this morning. Drivers faced delays for more than an hour after the chp closed all northbound lanes to look for clues into what happened. Sky 7 hd was overhead in concord as firefighters responded to four small brush fires along highway 4 near willow pass road. Commuters late this morning had to make their way past flames and as you can see really heavy smoke as the fire took hold on the concord side of the highway. Drivers called the chp to report all the smoke made it difficult to see the road. You can see clearly why in this video. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to contain the flames that charred about two acres of land. Crews in Orange County are battling a blaze that has destroyed one structure and is threatening several others. It broke out in irvine near Santiago Canyon road. Authorities evacuated several people from a nearby campground. Air tankers had to be brought in to help battle the flames. It had charred at least 150 acres. No word yet on how it started. Police have noticed a recent spike in threats of converters from Toyota Trucks and suvs, specifically sequoias and 4 runners. Thefts occurred last tuesday in similar neighborhoods. Similar crimes have been reported in danville, walnut creek and brentwood. Tomorrow state lawmakers will discuss new rules to prevent balcony collapses. They would consider a law to force Construction Companies to disclose things caused by negligence. The Berkeley City Council is expected to vote on tougher regulations for balcony construction.
