They have been here all day. You know, the family member, one of them texted me to say we are all devastated. Now, according to our sister station, Benjamin Dean, thats the man who died, he has three children from a previous marriage. Now we are also told that unfortunately, his exwife, the mother of those three children died last year. So that means that these kids, these three kids now dont have a mother or a father. No longer in Critical Condition and surrounded by family members, kelly deans injuries are now nonlife threatening. Witnesses say kelly and her husband Benjamin Dean were hit by the driver of this tesla yesterday in the crosswalk after police say running a red light and colliding with another car. He died. The driver has been identified as 21yearold Kelsey Cambridge seen here after being arrested. Bob navarro ran to help the couple and stayed with kelly because of the nature of his job, hes unable to show his face. Her right arm was off to one side. She could hardly move that. Her left arm was to her side. I guess her watch had broken off laying off to her side, as well. But she did have a lot of blood coming from her face. Reporter the couple from the fresno area had spent the past few days in San Francisco celebrating their third wedding anniversary. The driver had rented the car from an online app called get around. Unlike traditional rental Car Companies that require drivers to be at least 25 years old, the minimum age to drive one of their cars is 19 unless its a specialty car, like a tesla. Get around would not say why a 2 2 21yearold was allowed to rent a tesla but issued this statement. We are cooperating with police and local authorities investigating this tragic incident and are not sharing any details out of respect for the families involved and the investigation under way. Couple minutes as we walked out, we heard the police and sirens come out and then we walked down and obviously saw the car against the pole right there. He says investigators are trying to pinpoint where on the tracks the car was hit but if it was hit in the crossing, once the crossing arms come train to st it normally takes a passenger train, it will take them from a half to three quarters of a mile to stop depending how fast they are going.
