The tow truck operator said the driver had been arrested, a suspected drunk driver. A car ran into the emergency firehouse outlet and i think it broke the water and its shooting up water like anything else just dumping a lot of water on to the streets. Reporter gallons of water rushed downhill and directly into stern hall and foothill. At foothill students in buildings 4 through 9 got a text telling them to evacuate. My building was dry. I didnt think i would have to leave. When i left the r. A. Said dont go back inside. Then i got the text a few minutes later. Im going to stay outside. Reporter the real damage is inside foothill building six. 20 students have been displaced because of water damage to their dorm room. Cal representatives are scrambling to find them a place to stay on campus. People had to be evacuated and as of right now theyre not telling us information when we can get back in. Apparently rooms are flooding and water coming through the walls. Reporter with very little time, students just grabbed what they could and left. I have my backpack with my laptop, books. I was doing some studying and i just plan to continue doing that. Reporter by the way, there is a gaming competition supposed to take place here this morning. That has been canceled. Some of you called it disrespectful. Abc 7 News Reporter luz pena spoke to the candidate who paid for four billboards all across the city. Reporter normally this wall covered in art is the reason for many to stare, but the neighbors noticed something different. This billboard. I think its quite interesting. I live in this area. Hopefully doesnt cause too much controversial. Controversy. Reporter the woman in the billboard has her feet up, smoking and holding a stack of bills, a man carrying a girl, and a quote reads stop slavery and Human Trafficking and says vote ellen zhou for mayor. Who is the woman wearing the red dress. I believe its symbolized for london breed. You believe or that was the intention of it . I believe that was the intention. Do you think thats disrespectful . No, not at all. Reporter zhou is a San Francisco social worker who also ran for mayor last year. She told us she didnt mean for the billboard to be controversial and people to focus on her message. I will declare an emergency in my higher level of care for people to come in and clean the streets, arrest the drug dealers and equipment them for the services that they need. Reporter zhou says she wants to stop car breakins, clear the streets and provide housing for teachers and workers and says sorry to depict mayor breed this way. This symbolizes a mayor thats talking about change and thinking about change, but not doing about the change. Reporter many soma residents see this as disrespectful. In the east bay a ceremony in remembrance of the 1991 fire storm that killed 25 people, injured 150 and destroyed nearly 3300 homes in the oakland hills. Yesterday abc 7 news was in oakland at the Emergency PreparednessExhibit Center where dozens of residents, firefighters and others affected by the fire shared memories of the four tragic days 28 years ago. Here is wednesday afternoon, look at the direction were beginning to see them out of the north and east and the colors indicate the gusts. Wednesday into thursday. And then it stays with us into thursday morning. Were going to have a lot of sun, warmth right on through the next several days. A qantas was using this flight to Research Whether pilots, cabin crews and passengers can deal with that much time in the air and with jet lag once they get on the ground. Another horse has died at santa anita park. 34 have now died at the Southern California racetrack dating back to late last year. He said, i need somewhere to put the cow. So he bought a farm. Reporter it became a dairy farm until the 80s when they turned it into what it is today. A Pumpkin Patch cherished by bay area families. Joseph is celebrating his third birthday on the farm. He loves horses so they came up from gilroy. Its worth it. This is great. You come, you have fun. The farm, a place where family comes to play. Here are seven things to know bfore you go. The farm is open yearround, the pumpkins are obviously for fall and halloween but cut down your own christmas tree, egg hunts for easter and a trip back to the wild west during the summer. Hours vary by season. Check the website before you go. The cool thing is parking and admission are free. The kids can enjoy the atmosphere. If you want to pay for Something Like a train ride you can totally do that or purchase a hand stamp and get unlimited access to all the fun. People of all ages will enjoy a day on the farm but ideally, 14 months to 7 years old probably the sweet spot. These fourlegged friends are the only animals allowed on the farm except for service animals. Leave your pets at home. Plenty of snacks for purchase, hot food or bring your own. Grab a picnic table. The pumpkins arent just for decorations. See one you like or maybe two, make it yours. Be sure to pay for it on the way out. We are on a farm but there are rest rooms and thank goodness. Because you know there are diapers that need changing. Wondering what to bring. Bring a camera, smile, good attitude and come out ready to make good wholesome family memories.
