So a system thats coagulating and weve got a severe thunderstorm watch that had already a couple of tornado warnings across florida and a myriad of alerts including flood watches, high Wind Warnings and coastal flood advisories as this low on the coast gets cranked up. New details emerging about the shooter in last weeks deadly navy base attack in pensacola, florida. Abc news has obtained a joint intelligence bulletin detailing some of what investigators have found out about the gunman since that attack and Stephanie Ramos joins us with what we have learned. In that joint intelligence bulletin various Law Enforcement agencies have detailed some of what investigators have learned about the gunman in the Naval Air Station shooting since the attack last week. This morning, new details in the Naval Air Station pensacola shooting investigation. Law enforcement agencies including the fbi and dhs revealing in one report that on september 11 of this year shooter Mohammed Alshamrani posted on his social media accounts the phrase, the countdown has started. Other posts included references to nonmuslims as infidels and alshamrani also defending jihad. The things that he talks about as references are textbook references of people who commit terrorist acts. Reporter heres what investigators say theyve also found in the week since the lethal attack. The shooting lasted about 15 minutes. Alshamrani firing about 180 rounds from his legally purchased handgun with an extended magazine. During the rampage, he fired at pictures of President Trump and another unnamed president , and a witness claims alshamrani made comments critical of u. S. Military action overseas as he was shooting. He basically is saying the same thing that many terrorists before him have said, that the u. S. Is the enemy because they attack muslims overseas or they help other countries attack muslims overseas and thats their justification to attack us. Over ten patients confirmed. Reporter alshamrani opened fire last friday in a classroom building at the Naval Air Station killing 21yearold airmen apprentice cameron walters, 19yearold airman Mohammed Haitham and 23yearold Joshua Watson all students at the aviation school. Eight others wounded including two officers, deputies later killing alshamrani after a chase. This morning, the fbi tells abc news the investigation remains active. Agents are working to determine still if the shooter acted alone or if anyone helped him in any way. Now, the fbi continues to work with the presumption this was a terror attack. This way Law Enforcement officials can use a wide range of investigative tools available only in terrorism cases. Complex case and brave americans killed in that attack. Absolutely. A 13yearold boy has been arrested in the case and a search is on for more suspects. This morning, the 13yearold suspect arrested in the horrific murder of Barnard College freshman tessa majors is being held without bail. Those responsible, however many there may be, will be brought to justice. Reporter the juvenile suspect whose identity is not being released was allegedly found with a knife a few blocks away from the school. Police also found a trail of blood. They have one in custody and he is the storyteller. He is the narrator. You get detailed information and you see if that coincides with the physical evidence. Reporter the 13yearold is facing charges of murder, robbery and weapons possession in majors death. She was walking through a park wednesday night when Authorities Say a group of suspects snatched her purse, then stabbed her multiple times. The teen suspects aunt defending him to the New York Daily News saying he didnt do this. My nephew did not do that. Detectives believe there may be as many as three individuals linked to the killing. The arresting officer testified the 13yearold was not majors actual killer but claimed he picked up the knife and gave it to one of the other suspects. A 14yearold suspect is also now being questioned. The barnard Campus Community and majors hometown in virginia now mourning the death of the aspiring journalist and talented musician. When you saw her, you knew that thats what she was meant to be doing. She was a great performer. And authorities are still searching for that third suspect.
