Have ay National Voter registration day and there is a push to get anyone registered who wants to do so. This includes our neighbors who are homeless in San Francisco. The register on the block event will sign up Homeless People in the tenderloin who are interested in voting. That event from 9 30 to 1 00 p. M. And next to st. Anthonys dining room complete registration on site and learn more on the importance of exercising the right to vote. The event between st. Anthys which supports homeless in the city with rehabilitation and social services and San Francisco rising. Now, in 2016, the last president ial Election Year in San Francisco county had 80 voter turnout of those who were registered to vote compare that to 75 across the state of california. Californias health and Human Services secretary is holding a News Conference today to give us an update on californias tiered color status. Governor newsom says many counties are anticipating moving into orange and even red and there are some that are kind of on the cusp. The meeting will be streamed live on youtube for department of Public Health and, again, that is happening at noon. A focus now on your health and our effort to build a better bay area. We could see a new standard to help determine when counties can reopen. And it involves measuring the difference between wealthy neighborhoods and lower income areas. So, right now counties are placed in one of four color coded risk tiers onwo factors. The average cases per day and the positive test results. Californias department to other neighborhood. Heres how it would work. San franciscos overall Positivity Rate is at 2 . But in the mission, the Positivity Rate is 9 . So, this equity measure would require the missions rate to come down before the city can reopen. This is not just me making a morally compelling argument. Each stop is set up six feet apart for social distancing. There are step pads so that everything can be touch free.
