Perfect segue to marin county where everyone working out at this particular gym has to watch the clock because this is the only county in the red tier which means indoor workouts are still allowed but only have 10 capacity. This gym tells us demand is high. As the clock counts down, the workouts speed up every hour all the customers have to leave so new ones can come in. We spoke with the owner of a coffee shop who is not letting customers dine in, even though the guidelines allow it. I would never allow a customer to even sit here. If im going to purchase more, would you just close your eyes one side and open the other side. No can do. Im doing this not just because for me and you, but for our community as a whole. Marin county reported nearly 60 new cases sunday. The county may still be in the red tier because it tests twice as many people as the state average. Were getting a better idea of when we will get the covid19 vaccine here in california and how much well be getting. Abc7 News ReporterJulian Glover with more details on this. Good morning, julian. Hi, good morning, kumasi. Governor gavin newsom said in a News Conference yesterday that the state of california will be receiving 327,000 doses of the Pfizer Vaccine in just the next few weeks at a ucsf doctor we spoke with called those developments breathtaking. We expect to learn more details about the states Distribution Plan for the first phase of vaccines in the next few days outlining who will get vaccinated first. Keep in mind the Pfizer Vaccine delivers two doses and the second dose will be available within three weeks of the distribution of the first dose. Meaning the first round of vaccinations in california could be completed by early january. The vaccines implementation will happen at the speed of trust and that is part of the reason why we have built a set of committees. We have to start with Health Care Workers and probably people in nursing homes. And then ultimately we will get to people over 65, people with preexisting conditions. Moderna is also on track, as kumasi mentioned, to produce 20 million doses for the entire country and also by the end december it applied for federal emergency authorization. The first round of vaccinations could be completed here in the state of california by early january.
