Above ground muni was not impacted but the subway between west portal was shut down because the computers lost power. Those trains are now back up and running. It is not estimated when they expect to get the lights back on and given the fact this is going on for three hours and getting rapidly getting customers restored. But out here pg e is still here trying to fix the problem. The utility tells us that annville builders did call 811 to locate underground power lines but it is not clear why the line was still hit. They are doing so in solidarity with the global protest demanding action on Climate Changeutnts arecalling a climat. Students are using the walkouts and protests to get attention of lawmakers. One student told us this group has varying views but many are frustrated and want adults to take the issue more seriously because it is the Younger Generation that is at risk. For a lot of the people, this is the future and they see the past generations are leaving a world that cant be used. So theyre trying to fight for it while they still can because they dont want to have a world that is broken because of people and other generations not doing anything.
