And down into the bay itself without any cloud cover in the fog in the bay. Now current temperatures are in the 50s to 60s. Take full advantage of this cool morning before we do get to the heat of the afternoon, maybe get those windows opened on up. Let some of that cool breeze in because weve got a scorcher of a day and find a cool spot to get to once we get to that. As for winds still pushing from the northeast, pushing that hot, dry air from our inland valleys out towards the coastline. And thats also pushing any sort of fog away from the coast, too. So for San Francisco, yet another nice Crystal Clear day for fleet week activities. Well, tomorrow is going to keep that around. Another hot one in the works. Ill be talking all about those details as we go great. All right, john, thank you for that. Want to get you moving on a thursday. Here are checking on your morning commute. 12 minutes heading into the city. The meteor lights are on at the bay bridge. You know, accidents. San mateo bridge around 12 minutes there. Richmond center fell bridge just shy of 8 minutes. And the golden gate bridge. 37 to the tolls 18 minutes. Time now. 601. And as we were saying today is the Memorial Service for senator Dianne Feinstein in San Francisco. It will not be open to the public as originally planned because they now have some security concerns covers. Will tran is Francisco City hall taking a look at whats going on right now. Will. We are hearing it was the secret service. It was their call to say close it off to the public. This will be a private Memorial Service. This spite being an open air right in front, a san Francisco City hall. They will be sweeping this area pretty shortly and will continue to do that throughout the day as they expect so many dignitaries to be in attendance and they want them to be safe, which is why we heard late last night that they will shut this down to the public. So if you were here yesterday, got a chance to pay final respects. Consider yourself lucky because as far as being close to city hall, that probably will not be allowed yesterday. It started off very early. Senator Dianne Feinsteins casket arrived at city hall even earlier than they said that it would arrive. Came at 8 oclock in the morning where people started to line up already in throughout the day, thousands of people went by her casket as she laid in state, spent private moments with her and then they moved over and sign a condolence book for her family. So many people remembering her. Yes, she was a senator. But before she was a senator, she was a supervisor and mayor of San Francisco and many people reflected on that about so many people showed up with that. That cut off time was 7 oclock last night. But feinsteins family decided Everybody Needs to see year and should see year. So they asked city hall if they can stay open until the very last person and then late last night with her casket finally removed for last time from san Francisco City hall. Imagine the thousands times that she showed up as supervisor and mayor, her casket left this location. So many people will not soon forget her. Cant imagine the San Francisco. Without to she was the first woman mayor. In dallas, a little girl and my mom said, you know what . You can do that too. As far as people in attendance today, Vice President Kamala Harris congresswoman nancy pelosi, Senate Majority leader chuck schumer. And we heard late last night, a former president bill clinton. He will be in adtendance as well. They wanted people to show up because lets face it before she belonged to washington, d. C. , she belonged to San Francisco and they were hoping to make this public. But again, it was the secret service call to decide to shut it off to the public for everyone. As far as the dignitaries. Their safety. All right. Thanks a lot. All right. Want you to join us today for special coverage of that memorial for senator Dianne Feinstein. Were going to live updates as people from all over the country arrive in San Francisco to honor the legacy of the late sen. They already met that goal. They tell us that they continue to bargain in good faith and that theyre doing this in the best interest of employees and its members. Take a look. This is a quote saying together we have faced the toughest challenges over the past 3 years. Kaiser permanente, our industry and our employees. Operating in a new culture, labor and postpandemic environment that were all working hard to understand. You might think this is your escape from the heat is going to be 88 degrees there later on today. So dip their toes in the water trying to stay cool as much as possible. Get yourself to nice cool spot this afternoon where were sitting right now. Not a cloud in the sky out there in this High Pressure. Ridge is still in place to the north and west. Still ushering in this warm dry in air, but at least it doesnt last forever. This High Pressure comes to an end as we do see a cool dip in the jet stream anchored by a low pressure area. Diving into the start of next week. This isnt going to just cool us down, but also result in a chance of showers next week in the meantime, today is a hot one with those northeasterly winds still pushing into the bay that is pushing the marine layer away from the coastline the heat that we have all across the board with highs in the 80s for sf embarcadero getting up near 90 degrees today mentioned Half Moon Bay up to 88 montero normal cool spot at 80 degrees. Well, looking at 90s for much of the rest of the bay area. 2 spots tied for the hottest today. Thats woodside. And then down to los gatos at 99 degrees. San jose are not far behind at 96. Well for about their oakland in the low 90s, pleasanton and 96 degrees as well. While the creek and danville at 97. And then theres balais at 88 degrees comparatively cool.
