For your money this morning. Gas is really high around the bay area is continuing to soar, especially as we get into the summer driving season. Weve got kron fours will tran standing by with a look at where prices stand at the moment morning. Well. They stand at painful and its going to get worse jays before it gets better because they expected to continue climbing in till july. Look at the gas prices at this San Francisco station, 5 and 0. 69. Thats 0. 24 more than the average in california. So the reason why were paying more well in weather is getting warmer. A lot of people are driving more on that dips into supply and demand. Not to mention that they have maintenance issues at the refineries. So they say as well as the summer blend and all of those things add up. Thats why were paying the highest gas prices in california. Take a look at your screen. We want to show you some of the gas prices in the bay area waking up this morning. Well, if youre in napa county, its 5. 72, san mateo county, 5. 65. And its because of potential misconduct amongst the prosecutors were going to tell you more about that. Plus, activists demand housing not handcuffs as the Supreme Court debates an anti camping homeless law. And after the break, drivers on this east bay freeway had to move over like them. Well tell you, well, you can figure out alive. Tell you more about how these cows got loose. 9. 13, right now and were looking at another windy day. Its going to feel a little cooler even than it did yesterday. Yeah, weve got john tracking that forecast for us today and beyond. John goodman, things a little different out there as we make our way through the rest of this forecast for the month. You can see outside how much cloudy we are already across the Golden Gate Bridge, not foggy, but some low gray hanging out. All above the bay area. Definitely sunnier inland. Thats where were seeing some of those low 60s and a Solano County as well as the inland east bay. And we are actually seeing some thunderstorm activity up around red bluff in reading as well as on towards lake tahoe, seeing some light showers up there very much feels like springtime in these areas now for the bay, we see a lighter chance of showers later on this week. More so towards thursday night into friday morning. The low pressure thats really stirring things up is going traverse to our south. So Southern California has an even better opportunity for showers later on this week. Notice how much red youre seeing across the rest of the country. Youre april outlook for the rest of the month into the start of may is going to be warmer than average for most of the u. S. But for the bay area in northern california, just the opposite. Were in a cooler trend of weather with generally slightly below average temperatures for the remainder of the month and the start of next month. So get used to whether thats kind of looking more like what we have today than what we saw yesterday, 60s to low 70s for todays daytime highs. And this is actually not even the coolest that were going to be seeing at this forecast. San jose down from the 80s to just the 60s today. Hey, were at 68 degrees. Oakland, 66, our biggest drop in temperatures in vacaville for 86 degrees to just 68 degrees today. A huge drop from that warmth yesterday tomorrow, thursday and friday. Some of our cooler days of the forecast with friday morning bringing our slight chance of showers the weekend ahead doesnt look bad. Its just cooler with upper 60s to low 70s for your highs, right . All right, john, thank you for that. See some improvement on our bridges, highways over the east bay. Still seeing a little red traveling along 80 or 8. 80. They bridge right now about 16 minutes heading into the city right now. San mateo bridge from 30 down to 20 minutes. So certainly seeing traffic start to go down our bridges. Highways still covered in a little red. 40 minutes along 80 crockett out towards the maze. You start to build soon as impossible all the way into oakland checking on things along selling to 37 about 45 minutes 8. 85 80 through oakland. If you had to choose, i would just 5. 80. Does not is backed up as 8. 80. Right now. And lets check on 24 walnut creek down to 5. 80, around 19 minutes to make that ride reaches back to you. All right. Thank you very much. Rain. Time now to talk winners and losers on wall street with financial expert rob black on this tuesday morning. And rob, good morning to you. What are you seeing on the markets . Little bit of a a. Today rise on the markets were in earning season and earnings do count in the long term. We had 5 up months in the s p 500 and the nasdaq followed by 6 down days. So its nice to see a little bit of a turnaround based on earnings. Spotify company weve talked about a lot of the show is hitting record highs up 15 after fined. 25 years in the workforce last year, we dont socially like it. When companies downsize, but wall street loves it because labor so expensive to get earnings tonight from tesla their stocks down 40 year to date. So we want to know more about their self driving the robo taxis thats coming out on august. 8th. I dont think its ready for prime time. We want to hear more about price cuts that theyve as well as the recall. Cybertruck so that we get met up on wednesday night and we get off about as wednesday night and might know about is thursday with some of these magnificent 7 tech Company Reported right here right now. A pretty interesting with meta, right . Because theyre opening up their operating system for their quest. 3rd parties, is moved it because apples had said that the a lot of buzz and thats fantastic. And although and leaving met in the dust, is this a way for them to try and get more that market share out there . To try to win with the hardware. With the quest to inquest much better at 500 and really a nice piece. Technology, but doesnt compare to the apple vision pro, like you mentioned. So youre going to see use that horizon operating system and license it for a cyst as well as on the noaa city could probably make the hard way cheaper with different suspects, depending on what sort of brand want to make. I think its a smart move. And last quarter, meta increased are starting to dive in for the first time. Stocks been s on a tear went up 20 on season to be kind of fun to watch. Okay. Good enough. So well keep an eye on that. Tell me about the second headline here. Airlines charging now to for you to know where youre going to sit. Explain this. You and i both have decent head to hair and i can pull my hair out on the story. Package were bad. Yeah. But this is worse in my opinion. Kids. Used to get seats at no extra cost and its now a financial send my kids to london the summer and i fear of them not sitting together they are. And that fear is its playing on me. Airlines are making money on. This is big money its not just frontier spirit and allegiant. We know theyve always tried for a assignments. Its a american. Its down to its jetblue. Its united. So its basically all of big ones and south west and east church for but they do charge for early boarding now, which is currently charging for seats. But its an extra 40 to 19 for domestic flight 90 you can exit row usually for international roundtrip. Its not going to add another 250 her ticket for my family. Thats a lot. And it doesnt come until really late in the process where theyre doing the passenger in folks. Thats not upfront fee. And i think its kind of bogus. If you ask me last year, see fees brought in 4. 2 billion dollars extra for the big 8 for a airlines. Theres baggage fees brought in 5. 1 trillion. So its pretty comparable. Thats an extra 9. 3 billion in fees tagged on to the price of the ticket. So and every now then you watch a video on instagram or youtube for tiktok where some screaming like. Why would you change seats with me . And thats like a minute now. Tell them something very imply that i paid for the ticket and you can go buzz off i its its frustrating. But its here. Yeah, its the world we live in now. All right. And then lastly, this morning, amazon now gett ng into what the Home Shopping network doing. Kind you might remember last black friday when they did the Football Game that every commercial had a big qr code on it. So theyre able to get advertisers and say were going sell their product on our website with a qr code and its a big business thats growing for amazon. Now theyre taking it one step further with whats called amazon live. And like you said, its a qb style show 5 of us sit there on our phones while watching tv. And if maybe a woman says man, i love your cologne and youre looking at your phone, its like akamai that clown. Im bridgett said you can book vacations. Get the idea that its its not the wrong idea, but theyre also pain content creators to create qvc style programming like what theyre selling. You know, hey, get the spin for 5 of 8. My favorite bent influencers the bomb, which is a pregnancy. Set for tv are watching some this program. Youre learning how to change your kids, diapers and how hes a sponsored it. So its all kind of pulling together. Youll see peacock, Disney Tiktok walmart all push forward with this because getting the sale early is is what its all about why your streaming, youre looking at your phone, you can add to your cart. So it makes sense. I hate it. Were getting drilled by baggage fees, seat fees, commercials. And yeah, by now. Thats coming to amazon prime. Thats fascinating. Okay. Well, so well keep an eye out for that. Rob, thank you as always. Were going to chat with rob tomorrow. So if theres a cool story like that, amazon, one, and hell talk about it, maybe break it down into something a little more understandable that we can all county wrap our heads around. Youve got to social media handles there. Youve got his email as well, rob at rob black dot com. Well be we are back 9. 24. Is the time. As we wrap up this week by a tease for a little bit anyways, were seeing a lot of cloud cover up above this morning. But that cloud cover does clear out pretty nicely this afternoon. Will help us get to some upper 60s to low 70s with just comfortable. So looking outside at the east bay hills, dry out there. But a lot of cloud cover up ahead. We are seeing out there not for the bay area, but for some of our neighboring areas. Look at this just north willows as youre heading up to reading some actually pretty strong thunderstorm activity to activity building out in the Central Valley. As for current conditions, windy from the coast, especially out the coast and into the delta is where youre going to notice it. The most temperatures are just now starting to get into the low 60s hayward, san mateo and pittsburgh right at 60 degrees currently in later today. We will be seeing daytime highs rising into the upper 60s to low 70s rain. All right, john, thank you for that. Little taking your bridges right now is a good time to do it because were not seeing the major delays. We started off with. They bridge right now about 15 minutes into the this morning. San mateo bridge somewhere around 18 minutes were up to 30 at the peak of the morning. There started to slowly go down 8 minutes long. The Richmond Center fell bridge the Golden Gate Bridge at about 24 minutes. Look at those highways. The east bay still seems a little congestion along 88 85 80, the south bay. If you are going to be taking that to 80s looking much better than 101, at this time there james, back to you. Thanks.
