Whats happening is the bart board that will be shown three options today and could vote to push this project forward. I want you the preferred design, a swing style barrier similar to the one in this picture and the one they sent out a team of engineers. People in maintenance and bart police and the one they would agree would be the best. They would see designs and a floortoceiling turnstile. Similar to what you might see at the amusement park. They might cost about 151 million. Emotion will be put before the board later this morning to approve that swingstyle barrier. I talked to the riders this morning. For the most part they like the new designs, but were split on if they think these improvements are necessary. And ive had situations where i would go in through a gate and that person would come in right behind me without paying, you know, so i think it is a good idea, i really do. I think it is not a good idea and just because i feel like people are always going to find a way to do it and just like a big project to change all the stations. I just feel like people, they are going to find some way to hack the system and so it is like you dont know how long that will happen and that we had that first and although it is the same kind of thefficient replacing the gates is a part of a larger effort to crack down at stations with what ing called station hardening.
