A woman and young girl were in the crosswalk when they were hit at 22nd avenue in the san antonio district. This was 11 20 am. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as a 45 yearold woman of oakland. The fouryearold girl is expected to survive. We do not know the relationship between the victims. The police do not have a description of the vehicle. The driver left southbound on 22nd avenue after the crash. This is definitely sad, anytime we have a loss of life in the community. It is devastating. It affects the entire community. Officers looked for Surveillance Video and witnesses. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call crash that left a person dead and another injured. This happened at Rancho San Antonio park. A person drove into a park and hit two pedestrians. Allison rodriguez purports. Sheriff deputies detained the driver as he was trying to get away.
