They recorded this sunday morning at the height of the windstorm on pine flat road in geyserville. The crusade three homes in the area. Many schools will stay closed because of the fire and the power shutoffs. And Sonoma County, schools will be closed today and tomorrow. And napa county, the calistoga schools will stay closed but all the other schools in the county will be open. And marin county, most schools say they are definitely open. In lake county the konocti unified and Middletown Unified School Districts are still closed but all the others will be open again today. Later today, an emergency meeting by the Sonoma County board of supervisors. They will declare a local emergency and then adjust the county budget to include Disaster Relief money for the new kincade fire disaster fund. The meeting will not be held in santa rosa because of the fires. It will be moved to the Rohnert Park City Hall beginning at 9 30 am. Pg e says its inspecting its equipment and restoring the power as fast as it can after the fourth power safety shut off of the month. Pg e says 53,000 customers statewide still dont have power that includes homes and businesses and applicable sonoma, marin and lake county is. Pg e is not saying one everyone will have power again. They are already identifying many places where buyers may have been prevented because the power was shut off. The east contra costa Fire Protection district says a pg e transformer was throwing sparks into brush near gateway road on Bethel Island just before a fire early sunday morning that threatened holmes. Its called the easy fire. This one exploded yesterday morning during an extreme red flag warning with very dangerous santa ana winds. Now this morning, just under 1500 acres have burned. That fire is only 5 contained. Its burning in simi valley. That is north of los angeles. The flames came very close to the Reagan Library where the former president , ronald reagan, is buried. Officials say its protected by a buffer zone. The closest this library has ever come to this kind of a danger so this is really serious stuff we were prepared. We had significant, the augmented resources. We had incredible, robust, Quick Response from our neighbors. The easy fire is threatening about 7000 homes in the area. Thousands of people had to be evacuated. Here is a look at the other top stories we are following this morning. That means people should return at their own risk and be ready in case the fire conditions changed. Here in coffey park, some people had just moved back into the area since those fires two years ago. When they were told to evacuate saturday. If i hang on to how life was before, you go crazy. This is what is right now and we have to deal with it. Two years ago we barely made it out. This time we took no chances. Reporter the entire town of windsor, the entire town of healdsburg in santa rosa had evacuation warnings lifted. People made banners and signs and cheered as people headed back into windsor. That time was evacuated saturday as the kincade fire moved in. The fire destroyed more than 200 structures including many homes. For those people heading back into town, its important to note that pg e may have turned off power so when you get back to town there may not be any electricity or gas in your home. Unfortunately, criminals have also been busy during the evacuations and the power shutoffs come even posing as firefighters and security guards. Fremont Police Say Officers chased down the suspect in the middle of the freeway after he ran away from the getaway car. That suspect and two other people led police on a high speed chase before they were captured near whipple avenue in hayward. Three suspects were accused of robbing the Provident Credit Union on argonaut way in fremont. The suspects are identified as low pressure kilgore, Demario Crawford and Brian Colston of oakland. They have all been charged with several felony counts in connection with the robbery. Inmates at the santa rita jail in dublin on Hunger Strike to draw attention to what they call poor conditions at the jail. A lawyer representing the inmates organize the hunger and labor strike.
