The city has issued hundreds of Building Permits and one of those businesses that recently opened his neck and bobbys boutique. The owner spoke with ktvu about how it was important to return to the community. It was important to me to reopen in paradise because paradise is my home and part of my goal for this was to be an example to the community like, hey, we can do it. Reporter city Officials Say they are turning the page from recovering to rebuilding. The town is marking this anniversary with several events throughout the day. This will include 85 seconds of silence to honor those killed in the fire. There will be a ribboncutting at the Building Resilience Center and the unveiling of the phoenix key project. One thing we noticed when we drove through town is that although there are still a lot of living in these lots in an rv. People are living in the town even if their homes have not been rebuilt yet. There is traffic and the cars going through but theres still a lot that needs to be done. We are looking at this new coffee shop, across the street there is a motel that is still just a pile of debris on the ground. The family of one of the People Killed in the Halloween Party shooting in orinda is planning to sue airbnb. The attorney said the company should have acted sooner to prevent illegal parties. Allie rasmus is in orinda this morning to talk about the lawsuit. Reporter the parents of ramon hill junior plan to fight a lawful death lawsuit. He is one of the five victims shot and killed at this party at an airbnb rental in orinda on halloween night. His picture is that this memorial alongside the pictures of other victims and some flowers, candles and handwritten notes people have been tripping to all week. The San Francisco chronicle reports the lawsuit is being filed in Contra Costa County superior court and accuses everyone involved in this other than the victims of negligence.
