Investigators are trying to piece together what happened early this morning. This is where a fire broke out. When officers got to a house a woman was waiting for them. She had been assaulted and had a head injury. Both died from gunshot wounds. The got in a fight before the shooting. Investigators are looking for three different areas on harvest avenue and trying to piece together exactly what happened. Were told three people involved likely knew each other and these were the only people involved. There is not an outstanding suspect. They are trying to figure out all of the details. They did find a gun here. Harvest avenue is not as a here. We want to let the Community Know we are out here. It is a pretty tragic incident. We have talked to a couple of neighbors out here. No one really heard anything but we were told there were multiple gunshots that went off. The chp is investigating a car crash that killed two people and involved a wrong way driver. People died at the scene. Were hearing reports the wrong way driver survived the crash and could face homicide charges. A san jose man accused of stabbing his exgirlfriend and kidnapping their twoyearold daughter is in custody now. But as things to people who recognized him for an amber alert. This so phone video shows a group of men surrounding him and then detaining him at a gas station after realizing he was a wanted man. My boss walked around him and put him in a choke hold and held him until the police came. He is a strongman. He got him. Investigators say he will be transferred to the San Jose Police department. He will be facing several charges including attempted murder and kidnapping. The mother of the child is in Critical Condition from stab wounds. This morning another man is in custody suspected of killing. Firefighters had to rescue the suspect to barricaded himself in the burning home near calgary. Police identified him as prole rodriguez about 4 00 yesterday afternoon. The Santa Clarita Auto Theft Task force tried to stop the stolen car near Lewiston Center road. Authorities say rodriguez got out of the car and ran. They tried to hide in an occupied home. The homeowner managed to escape an armed and then the house caught fire. We started our fire attack. We were able to find one person. I was really surprised that there was a fire in the Police Department was looking for a suspect. Rodriguez suffered significant burns and was taken to a trauma center. He will be booked into the county jail. He is wanted on a 25,000 felony warrant for burglary. Happening today the San Francisco Police Department holds a Community Meeting focused on a december 7 officer involved shooting. 10 days ago Police Responded to reports of a man trying to break into a home near 23rd and mission. This project has been at the very center of controversy over whether homeless shelters should be built in San Francisco. We are live there to clean both sides of the issue and tell us what happened once the shutter open. The mayor will be giving a tour of the shelter to other city leaders and the media later this morning. Lets show you video for the shelter is. It looks like a giant tent. It has about 200 beds inside. The goal is to alleviate some of the homelessness. Its its on a parking lot on beale and brian street in San Francisco. Its location is a part of the reason as to why it was so controversial. There are a lot of people and neighbors in the area who did not want to see it built right next to their homes. The mayor faced stiff opposition from those neighbors. They expressed concerns about crimes and other problems. They spent nearly a quarter of 1 million trying to stop construction at that center in court. This video was released and widely shared showing a man attacking a woman who lives in the neighborhood. The man was reportedly shouting and trying to save the woman from robots. He was not in his right mind. The men accused in the attack was homeless. He was not directly connected to the Navigation Center but the attack led to increased scrutiny and criticism of the center from People Living in the neighborhood. In order to address some of those concerns about crime and safety San Francisco police are going to have dedicated patrol officers in the area within a two block radius of the Navigation Center. The first people are expected to move into it later this month. Homeless people and activists are praising the u. S. Supreme court after justices refused to hear a case that could have barred Homeless People from sleeping in the public. The case came from idaho and challenged last years ruling by the ninth District Appeals Court in San Francisco that allows Homeless People to sleep on sidewalks and in parks if there are not enough shelters. The high courts decision not to hear this case means the Lower Court Ruling stands. Opponents say this prevents cities from regulating homeless encampments sidewalks. Our time is 7 35. A husbandandwife accused of killing the womans father dismembering the body are due back in court this morning. They are charged with killing 73yearold bennett it chan back in may at his home in ingleside. Investigators say they put parts of his body in a refrigerator. The couple then fled to china according to authorities with their two children but they were arrested in beijing and extradited back to San Francisco. So far they have pleaded not guilty. After an extended delay the commercial crap crab season is underway. Crab season opened late this year on sunday after california fish and game delayed it to protect migrating whales from getting entangled in fishing nets. That delay meant no local crab for thanksgiving and it was also a big financial hit for commercial fishermen. It is for a good cause. We did not want to catch a will. The scene has not changed much since then. Just within the last 30 minutes or so a car was towed from the scene. It has not been confirmed how the car is confirmed in the homicide. This is where the situation unfolded. The Solano County Sheriffs Office said someone inside the home called Vallejo Police to report a heated altercation after midnight. When officers got to the house a woman was waiting for them. She had been assaulted and had a head injury. They found two men outside of the home in different spots. Shares spokesperson said both fight from gunshot wounds. The got into a fight before the shooting. It is unclear who the shooter was. We are told the three people likely knew each other and they were the only people involved so there is not an outstanding suspect. Trying to figure out the details. They found a gun that was the shooting. Pretty dramatic for these neighbors. There are waking up and coming outside and seeing this. Law enforcement will likely be out here for a little bit longer as they collect the evidence. New this morning three people are dead after an Early Morning shooting at a casino in great falls montana. The first call started coming in from the emerald casino at about 2 00. Local state and federal Law Enforcement agencies are on scene. 5 45 this morning they shot and killed the suspect. A fourth victim was recovering. Investigators say before midnight a wong ray driver crashed into another car on east on interstate 80 at the exit. Both people died at the scene. A san jose man accused of stabbing his exgirlfriend and kidnapping their twoyearold daughter is in custody this morning things to people who recognized him from an amber alert. Victor was captured in the county in the small town of cambria 180 miles south of san jose. So phone video shows a group of men surrounding and detaining him at a gas station after realize he was a wanted man. Police say the childs mother was tab was stabbed and she is in the hospital in Critical Condition. Another man is in custody suspected of stealing a car and leaning police on a chase when it finally ended with a standoff and house fire. Firefighters had to rescue the suspect to barricaded himself inside of the burning home. We know police have identified him as 29yearold razl rodrmguez. About four clock yesterday afternoon the Santa Clara County Auto Task Force try to stop the car. Rodriguez got out of the car. The homeowner managed to escape unharmed. Was started a fire attack. We were able to find one person inside of the home and bring him out and he was transferred to a local hospital for treatment. I was really surprised there was a fire and the Police Department was looking for a suspect. Rodriguez suffered significant burns are mistaken to a trauma center. He is also wanted on a 20,000 felony warrant. No word on what started the house fire. The San Francisco Police Department will hold a Community Meeting focused on officer involved shooting on december 7. Officers responded to reports of a man trying to break into a home. When officers arrived the man said Police Officers at the man attacked them. The suspect was shot several times and treated for life threatening injuries but is expected to survive. The meeting will start at 6 00 tonight at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in the mission district. We are learning more that pg e has eliminated a requirement that government gavin newsom sign of. The governor rejected pg e friday. Pg e reached an agreement with attorneys for the wildfire victims to remove the requirement that the governor had to approve the plan. The goal behind it is to alleviate the problem of homelessness along the embarcadero. The project has been controversy oh from the start primarily because of its location. Two puppies found nearly frozen to death by a park ranger in arizona have recovered from their injuries and are ready for a forever home. Someone left the puppies, just three weeks old, in a Cardboard Box in the middle of the campground covered in snow. Luckily a park ranger came by and spotted them. Lifeless, cold to the touch when they were initially found. She wrapped the puppies in her jacket, rushed back to her cabin, turned on the oven underneath and used the ambient heat to heat a pot on top. Not too long after that, the puppies started to cry so the park ranger knew they were alive. Theyre being cared for by an Animal Rescue group. Theyre eight weeks old and have been named anna and elsa from the movie frozen. Theyre full of life and up for adoption. A service dog named henry made friends with doug. Henry ran right up to doug and they all posed together for a photo. A Sonoma County family home is being rebuilt after a fire.
